The Kati Roll Company offers a charming slice of New York street-food culture with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that stands out even before the first bite. Located on E 53rd Street, the space has a cozy, rustic character with thoughtful decor that gives it an old-school NYC vibe. While the dine-in area is quite limited with only a few tables available, the staff handles the crowd gracefully. During our visit, the tables were occupied by multiple families, and the team was incredibly accommodating and friendly throughout, maintaining a positive attitude and genuine hospitality despite the tight space.

We ordered the Chicken Tikka Roll and the Unda Chicken Roll. Flavor-wise, the rolls were good and satisfying, though not exceptionally well-seasoned, filling, and enjoyable, but leaving a little room to shine more. Given the seating constraints, my friends and I embraced the classic New York experience and enjoyed our kati rolls outdoors in public seating as the evening set in, which honestly added to the charm of the visit. Overall, I’d rate the food a solid 4 out of 5, while the ambience and staff easily earn a 5 out of 5. Definitely worth trying at least once, especially if you appreciate great service and an authentic, street-style dining experience.

Tried The Kathi Roll Company and ordered the chicken egg roll, paneer roll, and chicken momos — everything was absolutely delicious. The rolls were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly spiced, and the momos were juicy and well-cooked. The place was very busy, which honestly says a lot about the popularity and quality of the food. Service was fast despite the rush. Definitely worth it if you’re craving quick, tasty street-style food.

We ordered two rolls (one chicken) and two masala chais, totaling $25.47. That’s reasonable for Manhattan, but not for the quantity of food. The Chicken roll was actually really good—I’d recommend trying it at least once to see if it hits the spot for you.

I used to like this place, but after today I’m done. I asked for less sauce and less watery, and the employee made a face, took the sauce off, and then asked if I wanted to pay extra to have it on the side. Very rude response to a simple request. I ordered the Unda Shammi and Unda Chicken, and afterward had stomach pain for hours and later vomited. Based on this experience, I seriously question the cleanliness and hygiene here. I will not be coming back.

Went there on Friday during my lunch break and really enjoyed it. The food was great and came out super fast ,Prices are reasonable, and it’s awesome to have a spot like this in Manhattan where you can get affordable Indian-style gourmet food without a long wait. Everyone talks about the rolls, but i think, the rice bowls are the sleepers. They also have plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, which is a huge plus.

An absolute must for anyone living in the city!!! Service was amazing and incredibly friendly, and the food was even better. When looking for a restaurant you don’t just want good food, you want an experience. Without a doubt this cute little restaurant has mastered not just delivering an experience, but also providing top quality food which has kept me coming back again and again. Great food, great service, all at an amazing price!!

This is mostly a review about the amazing staff. I come here often – and there is a lady (desi woman) who just smiles all the time like nothing is wrong with the world. I wish I can smile like that …. Today, I arrived right at closing but they still took care of me. It’s not just this lady – I’ve had so many wonderful interactions with everyone at this restaurant!! The food is amazing, too. Wish I could dine in but here’s a bar next door and the people smoke outside and it’s strong even inside the restaurant.
