I was born in Milwaukee, known for its German heritage. Before this day, I never had amazing German food outside of Wisconsin, especially in the East Bay. Well, that has changed, so consider me now a lifetime customer. It was perfect meal.

Stellar Reuben sandwich! Spinach Brioche was a bit small and lifeless for the price. Potato and bean salads were good, but small-ish quantity. Nice selection of German breads & beers.

Old fashioned deli with European goodies. Love the pastrami sandwich – always served with a pickle. My husband gets head cheese, blood sausage or tongue. You can’t get those in every deli.

Excellent Reuben! They were out of dark rye, next time we would love to have that option! German potato salad was also great!

We’ve been so curious about the Junket but only got to eat there today. We normally go to the El Cerrito Plaza after work and this place closes at 5pm. We jusy love this place. Great tasting freshly made sandwiches with a great selection of breads. My hubby found his blood tongue on a Dutch crunch roll sandwich really delicious. They also have friendly staff. There is a good sized selection of pastries and goodies from Europe. Oh and they have great German beers too!

Family owned deli serving freshly made, delicious sandwiches. They also have a good selection of sides as well as plates of food (e.g. bratwurst). You can even grab imported German treats while you’re there, as they have a few shelves of snacks, breads, etc.

The staff there are always nice and welcoming and they really seem to take pride in how they prepare your food and provide service.

One of my favorite local eateries and highly recommend!

I always get a turkey sandwich on focaccia and it’s always absolutely delicious. I also will sometimes get a dessert which is also very tasty. It’s a family owned and operated business and part of why I love coming here is seeing the family. The service is excellent and they offer a great variety of European (mostly German) products.

Delightful place, the servers are always pleasant, and it has a nice atmosphere. They have a great selection of English and German foods to eat or buy from the shelves, as well as great sandwiches, pies and desserts. I go there to get my favorite English candy, cookies, sauces, Bisto gravy, frozen pies, you name it!
