The Juicy Crab® story starts long before the opening of the Duluth, Georgia, first corporate restaurant in 2015. The Chen family’s inspiration ultimately came from New Orleans and the world travels of Grandfather Chen. Grandfather Chen was a sailor who traveled the world learning many different styles and ways of cooking seafood. One of the main influences that every family member loved was the New Orleans style of cooking seafood. Today, Juicy Crab Franchise has over 40 restaurants throughout the United States and is a market leader in the seafood restaurant service market.

Fun place to eat! Service was great and we had fun… im not a hot spicy girl i ordered mild and it was perfect.
My daughter loves hot spice. She got spice and loved it!

Decent establishment service was good. It’s just that our waitress we had to flag down often. She was nice just wasn’t really following up with us so as my family needed refills because they drank a lot to relieve them from their spicy food. Or when they forgot to bring one of our meals we had to track her done to tell her so the last person of our table could get their food. The music at the time was really loud I felt it was making us and everyone there talk louder so we can hear each other. That just kinda irritated me a little to the point I wanted us to hurry and eat so we can go. Maybe because we were visiting from a much smaller town so not used to our places we eat having loud music. I still gave the place 5 stars because I can’t do 4.5 and they deserve better than a 5. I don’t expect perfection. And it could have just been the day. Overall things were more better than they were not. Very clean including the restroom. Taste of food was decent. Music was a good selection just loud. Yea we had was perfect. And portions were fair for pricing.

Ok. So after seeing all the instagrams of karaoke at juicy crab we had to go. I will say this: all juicy crab food is good. That’s just facts. Restaurant was clean and front desk hostesses were friendly. The improvement could be in 1). increasing number of wait staff. We were a party of 4. After we sat down and were given menus, no one ever came back. We had all decided our drink orders and bar orders but no one had come around to check. We finally had to flag someone down. 2). Put the drink menu in every single menu. There were 4 menus at our table but only 1 had the bar menu. 3). We all ordered crab but the order arrived to the table with no crab claws. We had to wait 15 minutes and the waitress only came back with 1 that we had to share. That’s unacceptable. Everyone ordering crab needs the openers. So if your restaurant is busy and you don’t have enough crab claws, order more.
3) I was told karaoke started at 8:30, dj didn’t start setting up until 8:45. So stick to your schedule.
Outside of that , it was a fun night and food was great. I give it a 4 out of 5 because of the crab claw situation.

This place has a good vibe. The boil had a lot of margarine or oil which I didn’t care for. But a great taste. The Hennessey Margaritas are also lit. Parking is now valet – but you can park in the adjacent Kroger parking lot and walk.

For my first time ever eating out at this place with my family in Atlanta, I have to say that the space inside the building looked really nice. We had a very nice lady who served us named Keisha who did her job very well and I really appreciated her service. She made sure we was good, got us some good seafood, and even got me a refill drink to go after dining in. I told her after her good service when we was leaving, I told her I would for sure come back in the future and leave her a good review. Thank you so much for the fulfilling experience!
