TLDR: Fine buffet with a large selection, though not always seasoned well.

The service was great, and the chefs were nice. However, I am unsure if the lack of seasonings is a northern midwest Chinese buffet theme but many of the dishes had very dull flavors. I’ve ate at Chinese buffets across the states and this one was rough on flavor. Went during Saturday night dinner when about 30-40 other customers were there.

Some key points:
Some Sushi was older and the tops had gotten hard due to sitting. There were also hot (temp) fish ontop of some of the rice.

The hibachi lacked sauce (bland even with me putting lots of aromatics) and also some of the beef had freezer burn on that side.

The crawfish taste like they were only boiled in water.

Overall not a great experience for me, maybe Saturday nights aren’t the best. My other reviews of various other buffets across the states shows im not hard to please and am quite gracious in reviews. So take that as you please

Solid buffet I mean you get what you pay from a buffet look at decent a quality vs quantity. Customer service is great. They serve pho here to basically all kind of food here. Can’t go wrong if you are hungry.

It was a wonderful dining experience. There’s hibachi grilled, photo noodle soup, cook food, whole row of sushi options, stone crab and fresh oyster.
Great service, friendly server, great price for buffet.. highly recommend.

The food was awful, cheap and of low quality… completely overpriced. The silverware in the buffet area was wet. The guy who waited on my table was attentive, but the restaurant itself is majorally outdated from like the eighties or so lol. They are probably making a tidy profit from spending a low amount on everything ugh. You can see from my pictures the restaurant is called The Journey from the very worn condiment caddy reflecting how outdated the restaurant is…however the waiter’s check presenter has a different name?

Surprised to see raw oysters at 4:45pm on a weekday! The food selection was great, with more than 10-12 types of sushi, stir fry clams…the taste was great, service was great, value was excellent for the price and we were very stuffed. They also keep the restaurant pretty clean. Indoor decor might need some works but honestly I care about food quality more than atmosphere. Will be back if I want buffet in Madison!

First time dining here. Ample seating and tables were immediately available. It’s a typical Asian buffet, but had some unique seafood offerings, especially for a buffet. There was freshly prepared sushi including a choice of raw and cooked. What I enjoyed the most was the freshly prepared grill food. I appreciated being able to have a pot of tea with my meal. Would prefer to have some healthy sugars for tea. Also some more vegetable options, which is always challenging in winter. The dinnerware is typical buffet style plates and this takes away from the ambience some. It’s a family-friendly and accessible atmosphere. I appreciated being able to visit with friends and being able to catch up, but at times felt the service was rushed. I would have liked to try the crab but was unsure where to locate utensils for eating crab. There were some tipping stations. This is also helpful to understand what the expectation is before I arrive to ensure I and guests can plan adequately for budget and appropriate culture to pay fairly. I didn’t understand this from looking online prior to my visit.

Best part about this place is the Hibachi Grill and Ramen(Pho). You choose the ingredients and they make you Ramen or rice noodles or Lo Mein however you want. To me, those things alone were worth the price. The buffet, was ok. Pot stickers, very good. Lots of sushi options unfortunately i didn’t try any. And the bathroom was horrible. The staff was pleasant and attentive.
