It’s a good spot for seafood. The atmosphere inside is comfortable, you can get a good view of the pond if you sit by the windows. Their menu has a wide selection focused on seafood mostly. We tried the Broiled Alaskan King Crab, which was underwhelming for the price and it was way too salty. The roasted duckling was good and appealing, a bit sweet but good. The lamp chops were a bit dry for medium. The complimentary dessert and bread basket was delicious. The service was friendly but it was a little bit slow. Overall the food is it’s not bad, however the place is way to expensive for the food quality it offers.

I just had my engagement party at The Jolly Fisherman & Steak House and if I could give 100 stars I would! The day was a dream! I couldn’t of asked for a better party and experience! Bill and Derrick were an absolute pleasure to work with and they made my vision come true! The FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! Everyone raved about how good everything they ordered was! The service was amazing, the servers were on top of everything and made sure everyone of our guests had a drink in their hand and had whatever they needed. The view is so beautiful overlooking the lake. 10/10 The service, the food, the quality, the esthetic. Just perfect! Thank you again Jolly Fisherman & Steakhouse! I am one happy customer and I look forward to coming back to eat again and again!

Broiled calves liver with bacon and onions are served here, which is a rarity on the Island. However, it lacked seasoning. I had to sprinkle lots of salt on the liver and onions. Eating each piece of liver with some bacon did not improve the bland taste. The manager came around to each table, introducing himself to the diners. He explained to me that his clientele is older, and that is why the chefs lightly season food. The cocktail The Jolly Bramble was sweet but potent: gin, lemon juice, simple syrup and crème de Cassis. The alcohol was not watered down like in some other restaurants. I could not drink it all. It was that strong! I will be coming here again to try other menu selections.

Always a favorite in Roslyn. Valet parking makes it ever so convenient. I’ve been coming here for years (pre-covid) to celebrate special occasions. Fantastic table service. Not one but three servers for my two seat party. Loved the Cherrystone clams and Shrimp Cocktail. My favorite entree is the seared scallops. Simple and perfectly cooked every time. The little details like a bread basket with three kinds of choices: onion rolls, dinner rolls and the family recipe raisin nut bread. Delicious. They also give crudites: celery sticks, carrot sticks, radishes and ranch dipping sauce.

The food is delicious and the waiting staff very attentive. Haven’t been here for over 9 years and the food tastes the same! Love the ambiance, views of the lake and the restaurant. If I wasn’t so far I’d come here more often!

Well worth it. One of the best restaurants ever! Right in the heart of Roslyn Ny, this seafood and steak house has the nicest staff, unique entrees, valet parking, huge windows overlooking a large pond and greenery, full bar, and is wheelchair accessible. Get the macadamia nut roasted salmon! Crave cakes are great. Steaks are great too. Plan to take 1-2 hours and enjoy yourself!

Hidden entrance if you’re not familiar with the place so be ready to stop. Valet is free but bring cash for tip. Pleasant hostess. We made reservations so we were seated right away. Beautiful view of the water. It’s good for families, couples and groups. The magnum steak can feed two people lol its huge. We ordered skirt steak and magnum steak and had leftovers. Calamari was a little bit salty. Lychee martini was amazing! Really good stuff. I just wish the lighting inside the restaurant was a little more dim but could be that we were there early. Double points for our waiter Carlos! I would tip him $50 if we could. He made us feel really special for our anniversary and took personal interest in us.

A longtime favorite by many, The Jolley Fisherman, a family-run restaurant is aptly named. On a Wednesday evening, the restaurant was at full capacity. Many families return here again and again to celebrate important milestones. Our anticipation was thus heightened as we saw the enjoyment and pleasure displayed by the diner’s faces. Despite the crowds, we were seated without a reservation and served promptly. Restaurant Manager, Bill Mueger, greeted us with a hearty welcome and hospitality second to none. We began with a dozen fresh Oysters and the Shrimp Dumplings. Both appetizers were delicious. The Oysters were sublime and the dumplings crispy. Our entrees included the Roast Duck, The Jolley Fisherman Platter, and Sushi-Grade Yellowfin Tuna. A side of Brussel Sprouts and Maple glazed Sweet Potato added terrific flavors. The duck was crisp, moist, and topped with zesty orange slices. The Fisherman Platter included Jumbo shrimp, Ipswich clams, Deep-Sea scallops. Each was prepared well and mouthwatering. The Sushi-Grade Tuna was exceptional and served with fresh Wasabi. As we were celebrating our friend’s birthday, we were further treated to a fantastic slice of Banana Cream Pie, and a slice of Chocolate Cream Pie. Both were light but decadent in taste. To finish the night off, we enjoyed tea, double espresso, and Black Sambuca. A night that will be long remembered thanks to Bill and staff at the Jolley Fisherman!

Family-owned and operated business since 1957, that says it all. Meet some friends who live in Queens here since it was about half way.

Very nice menu for both fish and meat lovers.

Started with Cherrystones clams on the half shell, a half dozen that were fresh and plump. My wife tried the Maryland crab cakes with remoulade sauce, two cakes which is the appetizer size, very good.

Next the Iceberg Wedge with tomato, thick cut bacon and a large slice of imported Gorgonzola cheese plus a cheese dressing. The best presentation of a wedge salad that I have seen anywhere in the world.

For a main, I tried one of the house specialties, Roast Long Island Duckling with a , orange and brandy glaze, served with choice of potato and & vegetable du Jour. It was a half of crispy duck. I opted for the potato skins. Both were very good.

For dessert, we had the Warm apple cobbler with caramel sauce a la mode, huge portion.

Definitely when we are back in he area, Jolly Fisherman & Steak House is on our list to return.

My husband and I had dinner there for our 15th wedding anniversary. This was my first time eating here even though I grew up in Roslyn and my friends and I used to pass by the restaurant many times on our way to the Roslyn movie theater. We were escorted to our table. The staff all were practicing covid-19 protocol by wearing their face masks, which we appreciated. The waiter brought us a variety of breads that were nice and warm and very good. Sometimes bread can be hard and stale, but not here. I especially liked the raisin nut bread; not too sweet and just the right balance of nuts and raisins along with a crudite of carrots and celery sticks with a white dip. We both had a glass of dirty martinis, which were very good and strong! the way my husband likes:-) Francisco the waiter was especially hospitable and very pleasant. He was engaging and smiled even behind the mask (his eyes smiled). Our food arrived in a timely fashion. The food was quite delectable and very tasteful. We were pleased with the presentation, and again, Francisco was so sweet and attentive. The maitre d’ sauntered over right after the arrival of our meal and half heartedly asked us “if everything was ok”. He just seemed disingenuous; like it was an effort for him. The wait staff came out to sing “happy anniversary” to us with a lovely cake/ice cream combo which was a very nice touch. All in all, it was a nice dining experience and I would eat there again.
