Best African food I ever had! I had the egusi soup with chicken because the goat was unavailable and it was AMAZING! My husband had some turkey and jollof rice and again it was GOOD! We definitely will be revisiting for sure! Amazing cooking! ❤️

My husband and I went here for a great meal! Ewedu with amala and the Efo with fufu, both were really tasty. The portions were perfect to feel full. Notice, the door was broken and fell when we came in, so be gentle going into the resteraunt until it is fixed. Other than that, the resteraunt has cool art painted on the walls and the outside is painted with beautiful mural work. We are definitely coming back.

Spent $25.06 for goat meal with jollof rice and plantains. The goat was very chewy and rubbery. I couldn’t even pull the meat off the bone with my fingers. I explained my concerns they gave me a small piece of dry, overcooked, or reheated fish. I addressed the situation again to the gentleman taking the order. All they did was make excuses and said sorry. I wasted my time and money, never again!

My family and I enjoyed the food items, great vibes, and warm hospitality. Good portions, prices and people. We ordered four dishes and finished them all! Highly recommend to all especially the jollof rice items.

Quaint location. The table setting is best suitable for appetizers or finger food. The food was good. The best dish, the moi moi. The red stew has a mild level of heat and the flavors were okay. The protein portion is suitable for the price. We both selected the fish and we both received a 1/4 pound of fish. It was still delectable. The jollof rice had all the familiar flavors. It would have brought the flavor profile to the next level if there was some heat. The server was friendly and courteous. The puff puff was good with mild sweetness. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

Honestly, if I could give it zero stars, I would the dish that my husband and I ordered was the egusi soup and fufu and the oxtails jerked. Honestly, the soup tasted as though it were molded or had mold in it, and it tasted like something you should not put into your body whatsoever. It was not good. It was not flavorful, and it definitely was too expensive for such a poor dish, unfortunately. The oxtails, however, were good not great, but good and worth the amount of money spent.

Personally for good African type food I would recommend going to AFS kitchen and event center off of Lafayette Road. They are a lot better a lot better priced and you definitely get your moneys worth.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience.I spent about $100 on food and drove an hour to pick it up, only to receive meals that were completely unacceptable.

I ordered Designer Stew, which is supposed to come with assorted meats. Instead, I was given what was essentially a chicken bone with no meat on it — just skin. The stew itself did not even look properly cooked.

I also ordered Egusi Soup, which was supposed to come with pounded yam, but none was included. The meat in the soup tasted old, dry, and reheated, not fresh.

Additionally, the Pepper Soup tasted terrible and had large clumps of ginger thrown into it, making it inedible.

This was a complete waste of money and time. When I called to report the issue, I was told someone would call me back — no one did. After repeatedly calling, someone finally answered and told me I would have to drive back with the food. When I asked if I would receive a refund (since I no longer wanted anything from them), the person hung up on me.

The food quality, customer service, and overall professionalism were extremely poor. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

This was my first time trying this place and trying a egusi soup. I thought it was very good and it’s worth trying it out.

i had seafood egusi . i will say i liked it but the fish had scales on it . Also it did come slightly cold like it was defrosted. The cashier was nice and informative i did like how they brought me my food and i did enjoy the atmosphere. i must note that the attendant asked if i was eating in i said yes he asked what to drink i stated water . i didn’t no they only had bottled drinks please inform people that.

The food was nasty. It looked like it was cooked the day before and just placed in the microwave. The chicken looked old, and the jollof was nasty as well. It tasted like plain rice with tomato sauce and onion powder. Please do better it was a waste of $50.
