The Joint isn’t just a jazz club, it’s the perfect, intimate epilogue to our date nights. It’s become our cherished tradition, and honestly, the best way to let the evening’s magic linger.
From the moment you step in, the atmosphere is pure, unpretentious romance. It’s wonderfully small and intimate, making every note from the stage feel like it’s played just for you.
Our order is always the same, a dirty martini for me and a Bud Light for my love (a perfect, happily mismatched pairing, just like us!). But the real draw is the live music, which is consistently an absolute treat.
On our last visit, the blues band had me utterly captivated. Closing my eyes, I could feel the music in my soul, it was the kind of deep, soulful sound that makes you want to slow drag and let the rhythm take you completely away. It’s truly a place where you can feel the heart of the music.

4.5 ⭐ Fun spot to catch live jazz but the cocktails were subpar for the price.
$5 cover charge for live music the night I stopped by, and they accepted cash or card. The jazz was lively and rotated different players as the set went on.
Classic margarita was served in a plastic cup and stired. Menu stated it had lime juice, salt, blue agave and was $12 – tasted like sour mix, no salt on the rim, and I was charged $15. Old fashioned had no cherry, no orange garnish, and stirred with a straw as well (charged over $15). Considering the cover charge, these prices are not worth the drinks. Better off getting beers. Otherwise I had great experience with the music and overall vibe at the Joint

Enjoyed my first time visit, with my girl friend, to listen to AP&Soulful Touche’. The lounge is nice, laid back vibe, but definitely on the smaller side. It provides a bit of intimacy though for a date night . Staff was nice and they have a refreshing complimentary water station at the bar. Will be back!

Excellent live music venue, but tonight the sound guy asked me to move from the front of the stage and stand in the reception area side-stage. This was after the band had asked for people to come up and dance for the last several hours. Previously, I was one of 3 dancing up front, but I went to the bar to get the lead singer a shot she had requested. When I got back, I gave her the shot and I was the only one up front. I knew that I was a white guy in a predominantly black establishment, but I felt very welcome until that happened, so I left. Boo, old ornery sound guy, boo.

I had been wanting to find a joint where I can go hang out listen to some good music have a great conversations. Somewhere I would look forward to going every time I wonder unwind. This is the discovery I made. After many years I found a joint where I could truly unwind. I am from New Jersey and I visit here in Columbia once every month but this is a good reason if to eventually move here. I had a great time listening to some very talented musicians, talking with them enjoying conversations with the very friendly bartenders and literally making friends. I’m so glad I took that walk and walked in to this joint.

Great brunch spot. There was a jazz festival, but they have a stage for live music. The food was good and the service was fast. There’s outside seating also. The drinks were very good too!

Decided to stop on our stroll downtown. Wasn’t that busy. Love the music choice. Ordered burger and fries, took a minute considering how empty it was. Food.was delicious. Ordered the champagne. Classic margarita mixed with bubbly and will not order again. There is also a 15% house fee added to bill. Will give another try on their music nights..

If I could give it 0 stars for the bartender pictured I would. I’ve been here numerous times and never had this experience. Every other experience was very pleasant but tonight was unacceptable. We sat on the bar for at least 10 mins while this bartender ignored us. To be clear, there was only one woman standing in front of her who she served and then walked away. We sat exactly where she was standing, which means we were directly in front of the bartender and watched her serve 2 people while never being acknowledged. We were sitting in the middle of the bar, how did you not see us!!! I tried to get her attention and she still ignored us, until finally she looked over and I asked her if she saw us. She said she didn’t see and then said “and I’m not serving you, you can leave”. So I asked her where is her manager and she said “I am the manager”. To even avoid any further disturbances to the great vibe and music in the establishment, we left. I will never return because of the bartender pictured. And please roll the cameras back to see exactly what took place. Took place on 03/22, approx 11:30p-11:55p!!!!!!!! Totally disgusting. While we were walking out she yelled “BYE”. If she is the manager, this is a disgrace to such a beautiful establishment with great musicians!

It was my sister’s 60th birthday. We decided to go to the joint because she loves to dance. We had such a wonderful time.
The food was delicious as well, but the staff took so long getting the food. I enjoyed the drink as well. Me and my girlfriend again really enjoyed ourselves. It is a very nice place to go to.

They don’t have servers but the bar staff was really nice. Food and music were great!! When you order the wings please know they are whole wings! Also the chicken Alfredo was a 10/10!
