Welcome to Naughton’s Johnson House – Rochester New York’s premier steak restaurant located 15 minutes from Downtown Rochester off Exit 3 on 490 West. We offer a wide variety of menu options, including seafood, chicken, and steak. We also offer banquet and catering services. The restaurant has been owned by The Naughton Family since 1977 serving dinner Tuesday through Saturday. Our unique dining facility draws customers from all over the greater Rochester area. We have a lounge area that opens at 4:30 pm and a cozy, intimate dining, open hearth, and music at the baby grand piano every Friday and Saturday. Please note that reservations are required and we do not take to-go orders after 5:30pm. Call 293-1111 for reservations.

One of our favorite places to go. Reservations are best as it fills up fast. Food is always AMAZING, service is great and it is a perfect little location for a romantic dinner for 2. Everything is great, but you must try the Stuffed Mushrooms and the Stilton Steak! We will definitely be returning many more times.

My family has been enjoying the Johnson house for decades and we have always had great food and fun. The filet mignon as well as the lobster tails were excellent. We understand the commitment it takes to run a business in todays climate and the staff have always been friendly and hard working when we get the chance to dine here. So disappointing. Three out of 4 meals were inedible. Prime ribs were too tough to eat. Brought them home to the dog. (She enjoyed it) Lobster was rubbery. Service was almost non-existant. We had to work to make our server crack a smile. She never asked how our food was or did we want refills. The tables are small and should be cleared as the meal progressed, but we put our used dishes on the wall shelf behind us and handed other dishes to servers as they walked by. This was a special occasion ruined. I was embarrassed having guests who had to tolerate the evening with us. This is not what I had heard about for many years. I don’t mind the expense when we leave smiling. Not the case here.

This is a very nice, intimate setting for dinner. The food was great!!! Loved the Chicken French and wild rice. The service was fast and polite. The didn’t hover, but didn’t ignore us either. Would definitely recommend. Maybe not a large group, but a date night or dinner with friends definitely.
