The Jimmy was buzzing tonight, but the entire staff was working hard and the food was excellent as always. We started with the Copain bread service and the smoked octopus. The octopus dish was delicious – very tender and presented beautifully. Our pastas, the ravioli and carbonara, were cooked perfectly and delicious. We’ll go back to try the pizza as it looked very good in passing (several). Just a great neighborhood Italian joint!

The Jimmy is an exceptional restaurant! Exquisite cuisine, impeccable service, beautiful decor and an amazing wine list (that works perfectly with the Italian-Franco menu).
We lived in Italy a good many years and are finicky about pizza and pasta. The Jimmy pizza was very good. A tad underdone but very tasty. The octopus appetizer was the best I’ve ever had! The steak, lamb, charred broccolini and lemon tart all world class.
Il cibo era Meravigliosa! Bravo!
We highly recommend and well worth the trip!

The entire experience here was amazing! The food was delicious and Amber our server was extremely sweet and attentive. Ernie the manager who made a point to touch our table was also helpful in helping me choose the best wine for me. The entire experience from start to finish was very enjoyable. We will be back.

My fiancé and I were very well taken care of and enjoyed our date night here! Our server, Bryan, was very attentive and made some great recommendations. The front of house manager, Kayla, checked in on us frequently and was very kind. Chef Evan also stopped by our table to introduce himself and was genuinely interested in what we thought of the food.

The fingerling potatoes were perfectly crisp and well-seasoned. The Caesar salad was delicious and the house made croutons were a nice touch. The beef tartare and egg confit paired well together. The octopus was perfectly charred on the outside while still being extremely buttery and soft. Lastly, the tiramisu was decadent and rich, but also fresh and light. The cocktails were also beautifully presented and tasted delicious. It was a great spread. We will definitely be back!

Walter did an amazing job serving up options and recommendations based on our tastes that resulted in a perfect evening with our sweet neighbors. The food was excellent! My chicken (small breast, thigh snd drumstick) and potatoes were delicious. They did a great job! The wine selection Walter assisted us with made for a perfect pairing of a red and a white going well with very different entrees. While the menu is a la carte the chopped salad as well as my potatoes came in nice size bowls that were large enough for a group of 4 to share. I highly recommend.

This is a great neighborhood spot- even if you aren’t from the immediate neighborhood. Lots of families – even extended families coming for dinner when we stopped in. The pizza is good, but not great. The crust is a little floppy and soggy for my taste. It doesn’t quite stand up to the toppings placed on top.

They have some good weekly specials: 1/2 price wine on Tuesdays and music on the patio on Wednesdays.

It’s a lively spot with great drinks. The people are very friendly.

This is a nice restaurant in a nice neighborhood. The outdoor dining is great. I ordered the cacio de Pepe pasta. The first 2 bites were rough it tasted like it was slightly undercooked just slightly. But after that it was delicious. The sauce was delicious. The staff was nice. The pasta dish I had was a good portion for me but if you are really hungry I will order something to go with it. I had my order to go but I think dining there is a much better experience.

Average. Expensive for what it is.

I’ve tried The Jimmy twice for brunch and have been disappointed both times.

The first time, I had the avocado toast. It was unremarkable. The spritz did not taste like a spritz…it was overly wine forward.

The second visit, we sat on the patio, which was nice. I had the hot honey pizza (good but not great…I had to order sauce on the side because the crust was dry). I ordered brunch flight (which is 3 sample sizes of their brunch drinks), but it was overly sweet with too much of the syrups (exhibit A: how orange and dense the aperol spritz is in my photo). So I ordered the margarita, which was good. My total bill after 20% tip was $85. For that price tag at brunch, I would have expected a truly stellar dining experience.

I’m not likely to return, as I can get a much more robust dining experience elsewhere for less or the same $$.

Very spacious seating inside and out!
Definitely gotta go back again but hey the food was a 8/10 and the environment was a 10/10 in a nice spot of charlotte. Steak was a little small and the panini was a little oily from the pesto but still got a lot of other stuff on the menu to try. Will return

If you enjoy a verity of Italian style goods, this is a great option. The wait to get a sever to our table was a good while. The shrimp and grits was a bit too tomatoey for my personal taste and the shrimp were definitely frozen not fresh but the polenta was very creamy and good. The cappuccino was good and the decor is very pretty. For me, one visit was enough.
