If you sneeze, you’ll pass this quaint town of Fairplay. Before we sneezed, we came upon the small, hippy cafe, Java Moose. First, the Americano was delicious! We shared the veggie panini and turkey panini. Both tasty but could’ve used a little more filling. I thought the prices were high – close to $40! I’m told everything in Colorado is expensive. We sat outside and admired the weather. We left full and satisfied.

This cafe was very cute and the sandwiches were delicious! My friend and here stopped for lunch, and it was exactly the pick-me-up we needed. If you’re passing by or anything, its a fun stop! The service is a bit on the slower side (which they make clear from the start), so I’d pick elsewhere if you are in a rush. But their drink selection is awesome and the wait is worth it!

A small dining room if you want to eat in, but grabbing a cup of coffee to explore town or sit on their patio is nice. Even when it’s super busy, staff keeps a great smile on their face and are helpful with questions. Their oat milk vanilla latte is the best I’ve had and their rotating seasonal drinks are amazing!

This place used to be my go-to. The quality of the food has gone down, but the biggest issue is the staff. Be prepared for a ton of attitude and condescending comments about your order. They clearly don’t have time for tourist or part time residents. If you’re searching for great food and a welcoming experience, visit Mr. Burro Cafe right down the road.

Came here with some friends Sunday morning after hiking Mt. Sherman 14er and would not recommend coming here if you enjoy a good latte. All our ice lattes lacked espresso and came out as flavored milk. The sandwiches/paninis were tasty but egg and cheese croissant was so subpar didn’t appear fresh. It was rather just a warmed up egg patty and bland croissant from Costco.

No American flags here you all know what this means. The new owner calls the cops on her customers she is more busy watching what customers are doing outside than selling good food or keep her establishment, she must not do well so well she is very miserable takes it on her customers. I been here 25 years in South Park and she is the worse person I had ever met. Coffee is terrible for $4 a cup when gas station has better, the pastries are raw her burritos are so disgusting is like they are cooking in their sleep. I will never come back or bring any of my friends here. This is a new owner who calls the cops on her customers

Employees are rude, they treat everyone like the tourists they don’t like…. (even though that is a huge chunk of their business). The burritos are always cold on the inside and the coffee is mostly sugar and ice with not much coffee….

A little bit of a wait and on the expensive side but so worth it! This was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had (croissant). My fiancé got the breakfast burrito and said it was really good too.

Love having an unsweetened dairy-free milk option! Went two days in a row for an almond milk latte. Day 1 was great. Day 2 tasted like hot milk. Interesting. But still think this is a great place (despite the vegan tax for milk.)
