Popular place for a reason. The monks who make the food and run the shop are very pleasant. The baked goods are delicious. We bought enough to eat as breakfast in our motel each morning while watching the sunrise. Perfect way to start the day. The Jamaican loaf does pack a punch and is tasty. The peanut butter and jelly brownie was interesting (in a good way). We haven’t tried a our jams yet but are looking forward to it. All items are made with natural and/or organic ingredients.

We waited outside on the cold rain for about 10 minutes. Small likable place filled with excited folks ready to buy up all the baked goods. We bought jams, bread, muffins, brownies and pancake mix. Got gifts and some treats for ourselves. Lovely place. Line moved quickly.

Very good jams, baked goods and other things made by momks. There is a beautiful waterfall just down the street. We parked by the waterfall and walked over to The Jampot. It was very pleasant. Lots of other things to do nearby.

Pumpkin muffins are excellent! We originally stopped here after seeing this place on tv and to pick up some jam. I bought bakery items thinking they would be average tasting but was shocked about how great they tasted! I saw in the reviews people complaining about high priced items but disagree. The muffins we bought were huge, very dense and had fruit and nuts mired in resulting in a very high quality product with high quality ingredients. Be prepared to stand in line since there are limited hours and high demand. Also check their website in advance to make sure there are no observed religious days that they are closed for.

If you’re willing to make the drive to an amazing destination in northern Michigan, this is the place. Rich in history and unique experience. Friendly staff, and amazing products coming out of this kitchen.
Near by waterfalls and an amazing restaurant The Fitz!
Must get the Thimbleberry jam!

This bakery was one of the highlights of our trip! It is a quaint little bakery ran by a monastery. The drive there is scenic too! The monks were very friendly and helpful. There are endless flavors of jams to choose from. We got a couple of their cakes, but their cookies were our favorite thing. I would definitely come back here. Make sure to plan ahead because they have limited hours.

So impressed with this place and it’s Monks. The jams are incredible; the baked goods- wow. The two Monks I interacted with were so incredibly kind. The flowers surrounding the building are so beautiful. Please come here expecting a very long line. It goes by quickly enough and is totally worth it. Many people come buying 6-10 jams. They happily give you a nice box to carry it all in and I was able to drive it back to the lower peninsula safely. Please also be aware of their hours before coming. I actually stayed in the peninsula for an extra day just to be able to catch them Tuesday morning.
Also- the peanut butter jam brownie is one of the best baked goods I’ve ever had.
A friendly note- they do also ship through their website if you live farther away.

This is a little bakery run by monks. They sell homemade, organic baked goods and jams. There’s a nice seating area outside with picnic tables if you want to stay and eat. The parking lot is large, but the place is busy so plan accordingly. There is no public bathroom onsite. Jacobs Falls are located about 50 yards up the road. You can easily walk there and back.

Super cute little store right next to a waterfall. We tried some of their baked goods and their jam. We got a blueberry banana muffin, peanut butter and jam, brownie, pumpkin cupcake, and a piece of homemade caramel Jamaican black cake, bread, and wild, blueberry jam. The store itself is very cute in the Monk that waited on us was very nice and very helpful. Unfortunately, we did not care for most of the items that we got hence the low rating.
