The Jalapeno Tree is a family owned full service restaurant with a passion for Crazy Good Mexican Food. We strive to create a family friendly environment with a focus on fresh food, quality ingredients and exemplary service. Celebrating over 25 years of business has allowed our Pepper Posse team to create unique food experiences using fresh, healthy ingredients in a made to order scratch kitchen. While fajitas remain a local favorite, items like our Summer Salmon Salad with fresh watermelon, oranges, pineapple, and salmon over a bed of greens provide refreshing options. We know rice and beans are a must for Mexican Food but, we like to change things up with offerings of squash/zucchini, tortilla soup, and Key West veggies as optional sides

We dropped in on our way back to DFW from Choctaw. We sat at the bar with Joey and he was fantastic! He was friendly and suggested some great things to try. We both got a “make your own plate” with tamales, tacos, and enchiladas dressed just the way we like them. Be sure to get a few flour tortillas with your meal. They’re made in house and fantastic. I would definitely eat here again!

The hostess was the best thing about this location. Upon being seated, the cops are cold and stale. When I asked for warm chips the servers attitude let us know how this would go. We ordered a bowl of queso as an appetizer, and were immediately asked if we were ready to order. After explaining we’d prefer to wait a little so we could enjoy our appetizer (which still was not out and would not be for another 10 minutes). Then the entrees took over 20-30 minutes and with items missing. We asked 3 times for the tortilla soup that comes with the entree. Finally we just asked for the soup to be to go. Then the to go soup was half a portion. When asked to add the correct amount, the server had wires to say about the portion size. Not a word to say, I Apologize for forgetting your attitude, I apologize for how long it is taking for your meals and sorry for forgetting part of the meal. Server’s attitude needs work. We usually LOVE the Jalapeno Tree. We used to frequent the one in Canton. We talked up the restaurant to a friend from West Texas and that was a flop.

This is one of my favorite places to eat, I am here about 3 times a week with my family and friends. So frustrating that I’m no longer able to eat outside since JP left. The reason we come here is to relax and eat and we aren’t even allowed to sit on the patio where there is seating!!! Get it together. Will be moving to Katrina’s if it doesn’t change soon.

We stopped in , everyone was fantastic, we were ordering and we told the waiter of my wife’s food allergies . Next we know the manager comes out to discuss the ingredients in some of the food and her allergic reaction. He said he would pay close attention . The concern was very thoughtful as he was trying to be accommodating. The food was great ,very authentic, experience was great

We went for my daughter’s birthday. She wanted Jalapeno Tree badly and was so excited. Our server was so nice and very attentive (I wish I could remember her name). My daughter was able to get some birthday ice cream (and we did order some for our other kiddos). We had a great day and plan to go back.

The host we stayed with recommended this place so we gave it a try. I had a veggie bowl that was a lot spicier than I anticipated, but still good. Veggies cooked perfectly! The kids meals are generous and priced fairly. The salsa and other dipping sauce were both good, as well, and our waiter kept them coming! Service was good, ambiance was good. Nothing spectacular, but worth a visit for good food and fair prices, especially for a large party.
