A true supper club (minus that reservations are required). Small, quaint, simple, but outstanding food.

We had the shrimp and escargot to start.
The crab bisque soup was excellent.
NY Strip, Chilean Sea Bass & tournedos (steak) – all were cooked to perfection. Meat was tender and juicy. The tournedos were cooked well done, NY strip was medium.

We had vanilla bean crème brûlée (THE BEST), keylime pie (also phenomenal), lava cake & flourless cake.

Olivia was our server – she was great.

Overall – highly recommend. We drove 2.5 hours to come here. And would do it again and again.

Highly recommend!

Make sure you make a reservation.

Recently, for the first time going to The Jackson Grill, we had a great time. We went to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The food was out of this world. We had a rib-eye steak, escargot, and Scallops. All I can say is, it was all delicious! The service was awesome. The server was very helpful with the questions we had. We will be back.

The best kept secret in SE Wisconsin! Fantastic food, hardworking & attentive staff and fair prices. I came here with my date on Valentine’s Day and the steaks were delicious. We loved our garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli for our sides. The shrimp appetizer was standard and under $20 for 5 jumbo’s which we thought was fair. The chocolate molten love cake for dessert along with the Jackson snifter put the explanation point on the dinner! I called last second and they went out of their way to get me a spot. We loved the soft oldies music playing in the background and the dimmer lighting. It’s the perfect sneak spot for a date. If you know fine dining, you know a winner when you see one and this is one of those places. I’ve been here 50 times in my life and it’s right back where it used to be when Jimmy owned it! Looking forward to next time.

Where to start. Very nostalgic atmosphere with matching decore. You can tell the legendary Bob Uecker came here, from the old pictures to the shrine paying tribute to him in the dining area. To start off the bartenders were extremely personable and welcoming. Answering every question asked. They also know their way around making a great Manhattan and old fashioned. Dining was quaint and quiet enough to hold your intimate conversations with your partner or group. We started with the escargot which was superb. Then came the crab bisque, best I’ve ever had and had me craving more. The field salad with vinegrette and was also delicious. As from the pictures the escargot didn’t last long. Then came the entrees. My wife had some of the best scallops of her life with the side of mashed potatoes. I selected the 14 oz waygu ribeye with a side of bone marrow butter and the broccoli. It was the best steak I’ve ever had. Cooked to absolute perfection and seasoned so well no salt and pepper was needed at all. I savored each bite and longed for each chew to never end. I wanted to sip the aus jus on the plate but was told I couldn’t so I took it home. Also had the warm lava cake for my birthday and that was good as well. There wasn’t a single thing to nit pick on. Well done jackson grille, you have just got a life long customer. I know going to bed I’ll dream about going back just like children dream of waking up on Christmas morning to open presents.

Definitely a quirky location. Love the supper club atmosphere. Didn’t sit at bar as I was with me daughter but cool. The were great answering questions via messenger. Menu is not huge but we knew that. Filet was spot on and rare Iike ordered. My daughter loved it too. Service was great. Will definitely be back.

Me and my girlfriend haven’t done “fine dining” yet, and it was her birthday. I cant express the satisfaction and the elite level that Jackson’s delivered.

I wanted an intimate, close; person to person dining experience for me and my lady.*I think they only have 10 tables so make sure to reserve ahead of time lmao* We were actually late and still held our spot!✅️
I wanted friendly and timely service✅️
A knowledgeable&helpful staff ✅️
Environment/vibes/scene✅️
Taste of food✅️✅️ The steaks couldn’t have been cooked better ‍♂️. My ladies wagyu was outta this world, and my NY strip was exactly what I ordered&expected
Drinks✅️✅️

In conclusion, to say the least; this is an establishment i will recommend and return to. From top to bottom, manager to dish washer, this is a phenomenal establishment. Well done to all

Had a lovely dinner at The Jackson Grill last night. The amazing vibe in that place! Love sitting at the bar to eat always because Kevin, the bartender is a show too.

We had dirty martinis and some cosmos. For food, we ordered:

Tournedos
Three peppercorn crusted Medallions a la portabella e crème bordelaise

Filet with portabella

Seared scallops with risotto (I have no idea how I didn’t get a picture of this!)

Chef knocked it out of the park with all of these proteins. Love that nothing has changed! The salads we had were very fresh with housemade dressings.

This supper club has such old school energy that I’m in love with. Food and cocktails are perfect.

Stop Scrolling and Read This Review.

I’ve given a lot of thought to this review and I want you the reader to really pay attention to this one.

Let’s state the obvious. You saw I gave The Jackson Grill 5 Stars across the board and I stand by that but I think the Jackson Grill is special.

I was recently in Milwaukee for business. We ate out for each meal in numerous places. We ate both traditional restaurants as well another Supper Club All of them were great. No complaints but I didn’t enjoy any of them as much as I enjoyed The Jackson Grill.

Let’s start with the Bar. First thing I look at is if the Bar is well stocked with a variety of spirits. I was very pleased to see that besides a variety of other tasty Whiskeys they also had The Glenfiddich 14 of which I happily consumed! The Bar Keep was Kevin and was able to make a Vesper for my work associate and I know he was quite pleased. As important as a well stocked and pleasant Bar Tender is it’s also equally important to have the right regulars to set the tone for the bar and the rest of the establishment. I’m happy to report that we had great conversations with the other patrons of the bar. It seemed like quite the diverse of locals but everyone was friendly and engaging. It was a super nice experience.

Next up is the food. I’m just going to say, the Ribeye was fantastic, get the garlic mashed potatoes. You won’t be disappointed. We had some type of saucy shrimp appetizer that was insanely great. Let’s go back to that Ribeye for a minute. Was the ribeye insanely good to eat? Yes without a doubt. Was it huge? Again, yes it was. Did it have a fancy sauce like they might serve in France? Hell NO! However it did have a simple au jus that was seasoned and tasted amazing. Truthfully making something simple but taste amazing is truly art. I believe the Chef’s name is Jason (I may be wrong about this, I”m terrible with names and I apologize) but Jason the Chef is definitely an artist with food.

So a restraunt, is more than a bar and more than just the food, it’s the entire place. It’s been a week or two and I don’t remember everyone’s name but the staff are just amazing. Our server made us feel like a long last cousin coming home. She was friendly but not fake, she made sure that we were well taken care of with food and drink but didn’t interrupt our conversation. She was amazing. Another staff made our crème brûlée and came out to make sure it was to our liking and that everything was okay. It was more than okay, it was delicious. The chef came out at the end of the night to ask about our meal and to chat. It was an honor.

What i didn’t mention is that we were referred to the The Jackson Grill from our hotel’s front desk. We went in blind and didn’t know what to expect. We called, got reservations for 9 but showed up a little after 8, had drinks and then dinner. Although they close at 10 we stayed until at least 11. We apologized for losing track of time, between talking work, the amazing food and the super nice and friendly staff time just got away from us. They were super nice about it and sat down and just talked to us like regular people, not rushing us or giving us any sort of bad attitude.

A few other random tidbits to know.

1. The dining room is small so make sure you make reservations!

2, The wine list is very good and didn’t disappoint.

3. The decor is… unique. If your like me and live in LA (ughh) don’t let it fool you. Yes, it feels very homey but it’s awesome and different. I mentioned above the staff makes you feel like family and the decor makes you feel like you’re coming home. I hope they never change it.

To be clear, Milwaukee has many fine restaurants and supper clubs. However this is the one that I’ll make sure that I visit EVERY TIME I VISIT MILWAUKEE! I think you should as well.
