Baby Dean & DaDa Team Dean
Ok so we were so excited to go to the Italian Place because they used to be the best in the business. I was so excited to share some awesome Italian Place Steak with my Baby Son Baby Dean. I have eaten at the Italian Place since I was in 5th grade in the 1980s. Back then they were incredible, now they do not hold a candle to what they used to be. I called in advance to order 2 sides of steak for my Baby Dean that needed to be plain….which means NO SPICES, NO SALT, NO PEPPER, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ON THE STEAK JUST PLAIN! They stated they could do that, my mistake is trusting that they knew what they were talking about. After we picked up our order, went to our hotel to eat, nothing but disappointment after disappointment! First the side of steak had all kinds of spices on it, which we requested none. My Darling Baby Dean cannot eat spices, salt or pepper because it is dangerous for him! My sandwich was as dry as the Mojave desert in the middle of summer! The Italian Place that I knew is long gone, the new owners of Italian Disgrace Place purchased from the original owners in 2012! The new owners DO NOT HAVE CLUE ONE about Customer Service or what the true spirit is of the Original Italian Place sandwich is! Never Again will I ever entertain ever buying anything from this highly disappointing shadow of its former self subpar disgusting place!

Was not familiar with this locale and give it a try. Was looking for some Italian food from this Italian Place. The subtitle “cheesesteaks” should be focused upon. The sandwiches were pretty good food though. The Steak & Everything was a little dry but the Zeus was perfect. We did the sit-down and not the drive through and they did have good spacing for safe seating.

This has been my favourite sandwich place for 44 years! That’s right, in the late 70’s they were on Main Street in American Fork. We were teenagers back then and it was our favourite sandwich shop. When they moved to Orem (can’t recall the year) we still made our way for a Steak & Everything.
I live out of the country now but when I drive through I hop off I-15 every time because it’s close and still the best sandwich.
Sorry about the sandwich photo being so small. I was eager to eat that thing and almost forgot to take a picture.
Thanks for hanging in there #theitalianplace

I’ve been craving the Italian place steak and everything for eight years as I was living in Northern California. So I just moved back into
Town , ordered the monster size.! And my sandwich tastes just like I remembered full of flavor cooked to perfection and the staff is rad! #italianplace ♥️

Stopped by because this place came recommended. And did not disappoint! I had a HUGE sandwich and loved the fresh ingredients. I ordered the “Philly ‘n’ Everything” and I’m pretty impressed. I didn’t have to wonder where the meat was, nor where the other toppings were, plenty of each. I’m only left wondering, how I had such juicy and delicious meat and not a soggy bun… it must be magic. Also, if you like red cream soda, they’ve got it!

I have been eating steak and everything for 25 years, but today in the Lindon store, my wife and I had the worst sandwiches ever. When we arrived, the two female workers were in the back. They finally came up. we ordered. Just average service but ok. Within like 3 minutes, our order was ready, but the onions and peppers were still completely raw. The meat was tough and there was not much of it. the sandwich bun was not fresh. Such a disappointment. Do the owners’ care about quality anymore. The price went, and I would gladly pay it for what we used to get, but we did not get it today.

Lindon location is great! We have a location closer in SF but refuse to go there. Andrew and Will were great. Very personable. Our sandwiches were delicious. The garlic bread is to die for. And the Dr. Pepper tasted wonderful.

I visited The Italian Place tonight after a friend mentioned wanting cheesesteak. The restaurant was clean and the food was great, but what really caught me off guard and made me want to leave this review was the staff. This may sound crazy, but tonight I realized how poor service in many of my favorite restaurants has become in the last few years. Tonight I was reminded what good service felt like. I was greeted genuinely and promptly in a clean restaurant. The three boys behind the counter seemed to genuinely care about their employment and my experience as a customer as my food was prepared. And then as I was leaving I heard a sincere, “have a good night” from one boy, and a “drive safe” from another. It literally caught me off guard and is the reason I will be eating here more often. Well done.

Normally when we’re in Utah county and have time we swing in and get some grub. as always the service was quick, food is always made to order so it takes a couple of minutes and generally delicious. But this visit our order was subpar, it was hot but tasteless was missing the cheese to our Philly steak n everything. Usually my hubby will eat and entire sub to himself (12″?) But he couldn’t bring himself to eat even half of it. We will go back of course but only if we don’t have this experience over again .

Usually a great place to get a cheese steak, but the consistency of this location really sucks! My co-workers and I (usually 4-5 of us) tend to visit this place once a week around dinner time. For awhile there was an awesome crew of gals who got to know our orders, would make GREAT sandwiches that made you feel good about the price you pay and all under or around 10 minutes. These particular workers have since quit and now the dudes we see DON’T give you a sandwich that’s worth your money, and always screw something up with almost all of our orders. Thus resulting in a fiasco to get the correct sandwiches or sizes, which is wasting our time and patience. We are usually there for half an hour, not optimal because we have to get back to work. I feel like ANYONE who works there or makes a sandwich should make them HUGE, or at least average. NOT tiny. We are working men who gotta eat, and we pay a good amount for it. There’s nothing I hate more than getting a rocking sandwich one week then a tiny one the next. Hire people who have common sense and can work under pressure. It shouldn’t be difficult. Myself and all my co-workers have concluded we’re done with that place for awhile. That’s 5 regular customers gone, something the business ought to think about.
