Good food, great homemade pasta. However service lacked in that tables took a long time to be cleaned up and you are expected to pick up your own drinks from the fridge and glasses from the back of the restaurant, something that wasn’t clarified at the cashier where you order and made me wait thinking it would get to the table.
I found the portion also rather small, expected a bit more for a meal.

Excellent service all around. Delicious pasta and so many great choices of sauces to choose from! Thanks to all the staff. Everyone was super friendly. 10/10 would come again! Thank you!

I always love coming back to The Italian Homemade Company for their amazing lasagna and excellent coffee. Every time I’m in San Francisco, this is my go-to place for a great meal. The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is warm, and the service is always friendly. Highly recommended!

Purchased fresh pesto with several pastas to take home. The pasta was good, but the pesto was quite bad. It was bitter. Maybe some of the ingredients, esp the basil, had gotten old. Had to throw out what we purchased, which was pricy. Try the pesto before buying to ensure you get a fresh batch.

We normally love Italian homemade but our recent delivery order was very disappointing. Barely any food, the pesto looked like it had been sitting out despite our order arriving quickly

We ordered pasta and the burrata salad for pick-up. We paid the extra $3.50 for piadina, and when we got home, we found out that we didn’t get any piadina (half or whole). We couldn’t return to the restaurant and called to see if we could get a partial refund, but no one picked up the phone. We paid via Toast, and submitted feedback, but no one ever contacted us, and we didn’t want to keep calling or have to go in to the restaurant for $3.50. Not ideal. The pasta was good and our order was ready right on time. The person at the counter was friendly.

Just out kicking back some suds with Biscuit Head, and Applejack at the Saloon when I thought I better get some food in the belly before she fills up with beer!
I leave these two nimrods at the bar and walk about 50 feet to the best family restaurant in the city,..The Italian Homemade Company, and I’ll tell you something…They put out food that is just like Nonna made only without the lipstick and that smell of baby powder!
Man-O-Man…was it amazing! ☆☆☆☆☆

The pasta is very fresh- you can see them making it in the front window! Indoor and outdoor seating options. If you’re a vegetarian, there’s a couple options but very limited… I saw so many good reviews about the gnocchi, I tried that and had it with the marinara sauce – good and my only complaint is it went super quickly and didn’t feel very filling to me.

Delicious food for a reasonable price. Pasta dishes run you just shy of $20 which is definitely well below the San Francisco average. The atmosphere inside is very casual, and has a combination of table and bar seating. The menu allows a choice of pasta with any of their 6-7 sauce options, so lots of customization available. Definitely very good and recommended!

Might be a fault of my own for letting myself get hyped up for this place. Friends had said they had the best pasta in the city which I don’t really agree with. I got a gnocchi which was ok. Fresh but nothing amazing about the sauce nor the pasta. The place is cute enough but seating was a bit difficult and honestly not very…what I was looking for?
Ok for a casual hang out. Nothing I’d go out of my way to visit.
Service was good though so an extra star for that.
