I won’t give a perfect rating because nothing is flawless! This is our second visit to this restaurant. We were seated right away, and our waitress was very friendly, answering our questions with a smile. The salad bar area was clean. The food was reasonably priced, well-portioned, and flavorful. I enjoyed the fish (grouper) and chips, while my guy had the sausage and egg taco. Oh and the tartar sauce was really good.

good food, great place for breakfast. simple set up diner style, very clean. we came just after summer rush. So I our experience was must better than other reviews. Been coming to port since the 1980s and it’s a no win when an island is so crowded with tourist so wait time can be crazy..

We had the absolute WORST experience at this restaurant!! For starters we got there at breakfast time but they had already stopped serving breakfast. We waited over an hour to be seated. As we were sitting down at our table, an employee rushed in and said “oh no they can’t sit here this is for the fire department” and then rushed out. She didn’t tell us where to go or what to do and our poor waitress was new and had no clue. So we just stood there confused. The way it came off was like we were not as important as the fire department and had to give up our table. So finally she found out that they were trying to get us a new seat. We eventually got seated and got our food after an hour and a half of waiting. The food was pretty good except there was hair cooked into some of the shrimps. Other than that the food was really good. While we were there, another family went up to a server that was by our table and told them that they were tired of waiting and just wanted to pay for their drinks and leave and they left. We also noticed another local couple walk in after us and they were seated and served immediately. The vibe is that they prioritize their locals and don’t seem to care about the service they provide to the tourists. Oh also, they add gratuity on checks of 6 or more, will not let you split your check, and add 3% on card purchases. It does say that on the menu though.

We ended up at this spot by accident but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Parking is tight. Restaurant looks like a little whole in the wall so pay attention or you’ll pass it up. Small on the inside but there was no waiting when we walked in. Server was quick to attend to us and bring drinks. Food took longer than expected but server checked on us often, refilled our drinks, and was very friendly. Food was delicious! Definitely plan on going back to try their breakfast items.

Place was packed. We were here around 11pm and ordered breakfast. I had eggs/grits/toast & bacon. good overall, I forgot to ask my bacon to not be over cooked so a bit too crunchy for my taste. Grits were perfect. I tried some of my daughter’s pancakes – they were on the caky side. Son loved the omelette. Service was fast & friendly. Friend had strawberry waffles and she loved it.

The staff was so friendly. Very attentive. Kelly was are waitress and she was so great the food was amazing. I loved the shrimp omelet that I got and the hash browns were phenomenal. The biscuits were so good. My dad said that the grits were so good it could make a country man cry. The inside doesn’t look like much but dont pay any attention to the walls. It has cold AC and all you need to focus on is the food. Best birthday weekend ever

Enjoyed breakfast here this morning before our checkout. Glad my husband stumbled across it on Google maps. This little restaurant was very clean, welcoming and cozy. I loved all the decor that they had hanging it. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. All the tables were clean and the food came out quickly. Their sweet tea is great! All the food and drinks tasted fresh. We look forward to coming back when we come down again. Highly recommend them to advertise more so people know about them! I know plenty of people would enjoy what they have to offer.

Very delicious food. My husband’s chicken strip meal was a great bang for his buck. I felt my shrimp boat (shrimp po’ boy) was a bit overpriced, but shrimp is expensive. But it was well seasoned and very tasty. Great service. Clean. Good sweet tea. Would definitely recommend.

I am so glad Seashell Village Resort here in Port Aransas, Tx recommended this breakfast house to me when I asked,
It did not disappoint! As I looked at reviews on Google about this place, it mentioned a server named Cassandra, I immediately asked her when she was taking my order, I asked her you must be Cassandra, she blushed and said yes, I knew immediately after seeing that review, no name tag , so I guessed right! Such a charming cheerful young lady and will make my day, Breakfast was amazing, the cook Chris did a fantastic job on my Western omelette, one of the best I’ve had in years ! To me, there is an art of fluffing and cooking an omelette, Chris was spot on , one will not be disappointed dining in here for breakfast

I ordered a hamburger, I got a cheese burger. I can’t eat dairy. I sent it back. I should have just gotten up and walked out. I eventually got a replacement burger with the original fries all cold and soggy. My husband had the meatloaf special and it was good but cold. He didn’t say anything because of the mess I got. I will never go back
