We happened upon this place because I was in search of authentic Jamaican beef patties for my wife. I’ve had the cheap ones from the grocery store, and this one was not them. It was spicy, moist, and very flavorful. I had the Oxtails, mac and cheese, and greens. The Oxtails were cooked to perfection and highly seasoned. I do wish they came with rice, and it was not just offered as another side. I just think that for the price of this plate, it should be included. Both the mac and cheese and greens were seasoned extremely well and were delicious. My wife had the jerk wings with cabbage greens and mac and cheese. The wings were actually grilled and cooked perfectly. She absolutely loved them as well as the cabbage greens. The ONLY issue was that we waited almost an hour for our food with no explanation. Which is why I only gave 4 stars for service. I don’t think this is normal because plenty of people came in after us and received their food before us. Overall, we will definitely be going back and would recommend that anyone in the area go and give them a try also.

We stop on our way from New Orleans to Birmingham, Alabama. Establishment was clean, we were greeted nicely. There was no line, orders were taken at the register. They do offer multiple beer selections, soda and deserts. We ordered 4 different meals, 2 of which came out 15 min prior to other 2 meals. All meals came out fresh and hot. Great taste and flavors throughout.

If you call to order and they tell you the food will be ready in 20 minutes be prepared to get there at 20 minutes and wait another 30 minutes. Attitudes are just non professional. Everytime they are limited in menu. Sucks because I love to get some Jamaican food but this place has been the worst experience. 30 dollars for oxtail to have 3 pieces of oxtail and more plantains than anything on the plate. I’m done coming here

Decided to get lunch from here today as I hadn’t tried them before and I was not disappointed. I went for the Ribs with a side of macorroni and plantains. The ribs were so tender the meat just melted off and all three items were packed with flavor. I recommend giving them a try. I will for sure be a returning customer.

Jerk chicken was great! Not too spicy, but enough to leave a pleasant burn. Mac and cheese was also good, as were the greens. Sadly, they were out of plantains and a couple of the sides. While disappointing, it just means that I have an excuse to go back!

I went in hoping to taste good authentic Jamaican food but instead was served a plate of disappointment the oxtails where very small and had no flavor at all and tasted like it was rewarmed and well the rice I’m not an expert but I can surely tell what uncle Ben’s ready rice taste like and Velveeta Mac and cheese no season at all food was very bland definitely wouldn’t recommend this even to someone I didn’t like. And those pictures are just false advertisement.
