I sat at the bar and was graced by Kiersten who served me. She suggested the stuffed cabbage roll and I added the corned beef poppers as my lunch. Both were excellent and you could taste the freshness of the ingredients. I was told that everything is fresh, not frozen, even down to the desserts. It makes a difference. Thanks for a quality experience all around.
Service was very good as well as the food and drinks.
I highly recommend trying for yourselves and I will be stopping back in soon.
We had waited at a prior restaurant for about 30 minutes outside in the cold, with no organization on checking in, reservations, etc. Patrons were very rude and I about had a meltdown from the overwhelm.
We retreated to the car, desperate to find somewhere else to enjoy ourselves at and we stumbled upon “The Irish Pub Next Door” which happened to be up the street from where we live, and it was definitely the best decision we made.
We were lucky. Unbelievably lucky. Timing was just right and we landed a front row parking spot. It was very busy, a lot of people, and we were unsure we’d even find a table.
Surprise! We did! And you better believe I grabbed it quickly for us. We were promptly served by a wonderful server Kim, and she was truly the one who set the tone for the rest of our evening.
Food was absolutely delicious. We devoured a starter round of Irish potato cakes, enjoyed our chosen classic entrees of Corned Beef & Cabbage (myself) & a Shepherd’s Pie (hubby). Finished off with our own choice of dessert. I opted for the bread pudding, and hubby chose the Guinness chocolate cake. Portions were perfect. We left the pub feeling full but not uncomfortably bloated.
Everyone was so…nice. Despite being pretty darn packed, everyone from the staff to the patrons were just enjoying the moment through the hustle & bustle. I believe the manager even checked in with us to make sure we were served. We were amazed, and are even putting this on the short list we have for go-to spots.
From Kim, being so so incredibly kind & attentive. To the other staff keeping their cool like pros. To the patrons even, for helping me push through the crowd so I could get to the bathroom (where I met another cool patron, and as we were waiting in the longer line for the women’s bathroom – we united and went to the short men’s line instead LOL).
Thank you everyone, for what we thought was going to be a stressful night and turning it into a one to remember.
With love,
Trinity & Greg
One of my cousins found this place and suggested that we gather here for a cousins get-together as we have Irish roots.
I was concerned about the food going in, because Irish food is not known to be tasty.
WOW was I wrong! The food blew me away. ALL of my cousins raved about how good the food was. There were eight of us. I felt bad for the bartender/waitress because we arrived at 2:00 p.m. on a Sunday and she was the only server working.
I can’t wait for a reason to go back to this place and try other food as my Muntster Burger was awesome.
