The Innsville in Winona has been around for many decades and there is a clear reason why it continues to do so well. The service is top notch with professional servers who know the menu very well. They are especially knowledgeable about how to prepare food for those with food allergies or celiac disease. We have visited twice in the past two months and we will continue to return because the experience is always excellent.

The restaurant is clean and has a nice rustic feel. The menu is clearly defined and every dish is prepared with the utmost care. On a recent Friday we had the catch of the day which was fried pickerel and it was delicious. The Prime Rib Crusty and the English Dip are also excellent choices. The regular fish and chips are very good as well. They even go the extra mile for children which makes it a great family destination.

One detail they handle particularly well is the complimentary bread and butter basket. They provided the regular bread for the table and then brought out a dedicated bread and butter option for our family member who has celiac disease. If you have dietary restrictions you know just how much that kind of consideration means. I am glad this local spot is such a safe and excellent choice for us. We will continue to support them and we appreciate the wonderful service.

Went there with a group of about 23 people. Server Mary was excellent. Started with a cold draught of Canadian beer. It was good. Quite a few of the folks ordered the prime rib of various cuts. Pretty well all looked rare to medium rare. I ordered an 8oz sirloin, cooked to rare, with french fries. When it arrived, I noticed that the french fries had seen way better days; most were so crunchy that they wouldn’t even accept a fork. I didn’t expect perfection (fresh cut etc.) but I didn’t expect the extreme lack of perfection, either. The steak was cooked to blue-rare, less than I would prefer but I sure wasn’t going to send it back! It was quite difficult to cut with the supplied steak knife but I managed. It didn’t chew as tough as it cut but it was still on the tough side. As for flavour, there was nothing but the taste of of the burn where it was on the grill slats. Although I don’t know, I suspect that the mushrooms may have been canned. VERY disappointing. I’ve BBQ’d up way better sirloin steaks that I get from Sobey’s. At least mine have true beef flavour. In all my decades of being in the area, I had never gone to the Innsville, despite the positive raves about it. I can see this having been my one and only visit there. I must say though, I haven’t had a dinner out in many years where I’ve come back and felt that I got my money’s worth. On my way out, I thought, by the way it sounded, that it was karaoke night on the pub side as the singing was a bit on the rough side. I looked in and no, it was a band whose singing was less than stellar….
One of the folks at my table was culinary arts student at Brock. He had not much good to say about his French Onion soup

A truly delightful three-course dining experience. The calamari entrée was by far the best I had in my life; it’s a lovely balance of crispy, juicy, and flavour tastes. The rest of dishes were also tasty and remarkable. 5-star recommended.

My partner and I went for Thanksgiving dinner, but their menu is so impressive, we decided to do that. I went with the prime rib. Amazing! So thick, tender, and juicy. Plenty of food. My partner had the fried pickerel, our appetizers were bang bang shrimp, hot. And escargot au gratin. There was so much food, we were actually glad that we didn’t order the salad. We thought we would have that later at home. For dessert, we split the pumpkin cheesecake with whipped cream, and cappuccino. Can’t say enough about this gem of a place. We’ve never been there before, and actually when I went in, but will be back again, and again, and again. Our waiter, Andrew, is incredibly professional, friendly, and top shelf! We had a lovely, lovely, dinner, and time there! Not enough photos, since everything was so delicious we scarfed it all down!

I went there for the Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra dinner and show. It was a surprise for my grandpa’s 90th birthday and he loved it. We all had a great night and it was an amazing show. The jokes, the sketch comedies, music and food were amazing.

We had an excellent dining experience at this restaurant. We were served by Madalyn who did an amazing job. She had a large group that came in and was able to give us the attention we needed. The food was absolutely amazing. We went with a large selection of food which you can see in my photos.

We had a special event to celebrate a milestone 100th birthday in our family. There were 30 of us and we were able to be in the back room. Gwen and Neil were wonderful to work with! They were helpful by making great suggestions and very accommodating! The Coconut shrimp, calamari and bruschetta appetizers were perfect starters! 20 guests ordered the Prime Rib, which was delicious! The others had Salmon, ravioli , chicken parmigiana, lobster tails and filet mignon. All of the meals were excellent! With such a large group, we were impressed with the timing of the service. Our waiter, Lee, was excellent — he was very attentive, friendly and made great wine suggestions!
Innsville made our event memorable and very special!
Thank you so much!

A Divine Return to Dining – Innsville Restaurant on Easter Sunday

After completing a profound 72-hour water-only fast that began with “The Last Supper” on Holy Thursday, I broke my fast on my birthday—this past Easter Sunday—at the Innsville Restaurant. It was more than just a meal; it was a sacred and extraordinary reintroduction to food, and the experience was nothing short of epicurial perfection.

The ambiance was warm and inviting, a comforting blend of classic charm and genuine hospitality. Our server, Bernardo, along with the entire team, was incredibly attentive and friendly, creating a seamless and welcoming atmosphere. Their service felt heartfelt, never rushed, and perfectly paced for the occasion.

I chose the lobster to mark this special moment, and it was absolutely divine—exceptionally fresh and of remarkably high quality. Every bite was a reminder of how sacred food can be when prepared and served with care.

My only suggestion for improvement would be to consider replacing the plastic ramekins. These small conveniences come at a great cost to Mother Earth, taking up to 500 years to break down and contributing to the growing issue of microplastics.

That said, this meal will stay with me—not just for the flavors, but for the feeling. Thank you, Innsville, for holding space for such a meaningful celebration.

The Innsville is so accommodating. We had a small reunion with only 6 people originally, but I showed up with 4 extra old friends. They were kind enough to rearrange tables and we had a great lunch. The food was delicious and our server was so nice.

My husband and I went to the Innsville today (July 17, 2025) and my husband ordered Greg’s Special with regular fries and I ordered Chicken Cesar Wrap with sweet potato fries as well as dessert which was the cheesecake. The service was both professional and friendly, our waiter was witty which made us at ease. Our food came out quickly and tasted delicious. We’re planning to come back again in August. ❤️
