We booked in advance and had an intimate table that comfortably seated our party of 5.
The menu has a great mix of tasty alternatives and can be ordered as a conventional starter-main, or as tapas.
Prices are in line with city centre good quality dining.
Service was excellent, friendly and well timed.
Atmosphere was relaxed, buzzing: a really good vibe.
Will be coming back.
The food portions were very generous and there was nothing we complained about the taste. Overall a good experience, and the service was very attentive.
We sat down and the waiter offered to go through the menu with us.
We took suggestions and had a lovely chat with another waiter about us coming from Australia and their recent trip to Australia.
Then the food, wow! Fragrant, delicious, vibrant, there aren’t enough adjectives for how good this place is.
Highly, highly recommend this outstanding restaurant
I didn’t need the ‘third plate’ which was recommended, maybe because I was disappointed by the lack of pakora and far too much Chaat. My mistake really.
The Mango IPA beer complemented the food perfectly.
The service, however, was exceptional in every regard.
The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
The portion sizes were on the smaller side, which might leave some diners wanting more.
Located in a nice part of the city, The Indian Streatery has good decor and a vibrant atmosphere.
Despite these positives, the restaurant didn’t quite hit the mark for me, which is why I’m giving it 3 stars.
It seems to be riding a wave of popularity, partly due to the visit by Prince William and Kate Middleton, but for someone seeking genuine Indian flavors, it falls a bit short in my opinion.
