Visited The Indian Ocean last night and had an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. There is private parking at the rear of the restaurant and only 15 minutes drive from the city of Cambridge.
We started with the Pappdi Chaat and the Tiger King Prawns both beautifully presented and full of authentic flavour. The chaat had the perfect balance of crunch and tang, and the prawns were cooked spot on.
For mains, we enjoyed the Daab Chingri and the Peshwari Lamb Chops with egg rice and chapati. The Daab Chingri was rich, creamy, and full of depth, while the lamb chops were tender, aromatic, and packed with flavour. Everything tasted fresh and expertly prepared.
Finally we enjoyed two fantastic deserts which you must order! Pictures on the review.
Service was excellent throughout friendly, attentive, and welcoming.
Highly recommend Indian Ocean for anyone looking for great food and warm hospitality in Cambridge. Here you will find both modern contemporary dishes but also your traditional dishes so great choice!

Had a lovely dinner at Indian Ocean, Histon yesterday with my dad. The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavour and beautifully presented. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Beautiful atmosphere and award-winning too. Plenty of vegetarian options. Highly recommend! Booking advised.

Really great lamb vindaloo. Tender cubes of meat that weren’t stringy with a little bite for once. Had some fat on it which made it perfect. Portion size, however, could be increased. A little too pricey for how much you get. Also there’s no utensils given for take out.

Went here with my colleagues for dinner, the food was soooo good. Service was great, there was quite a few of us and they managed to get food out roughly the same time, so no awkward waits in between. The madras and tikka is amazing! Well worth the five stars and recommends to anyone visiting.
