Nice place to go on a summer evening. Super cool tradition of getting to smash bottles against the building too! Just don’t park out front if you go and like your paint job.

This was a fun place ! Lots of history here. First artificial ice plant in the area. 1928 became a bar, only bar in the country with car hop service to this day. Fun to go in grab a bucket of beer you can sit inside, pets welcome. Best to sit outside on the deck where they used to load the ice by horse and buggy to the ferry’s on the Missouri River. When your done with your beer it’s tradition to break the bottles under the deck.

Took a break from bowfishing and docked our boats and walked up the hill to the dock! Great fun and friendly staff!

Layout/atmosphere
*Not really a bar, more of a social club setting (tables, fridge with the beer); famous back porch to sit and drink and throw the cans & bottles against the wall underneath; right by the Missouri River

Been going to this place since birth.. and it’s still awesome. The people are great, super friendly and welcoming to all. The outdoor deck seating is the most unique bar I’ve been to yet and offers a great view of the river, the park, and some old downtown scenery. The drinks offered are minimal in variety, but the experiences are endless.

Fun experience! Tradition is to get a bucket of beers, drink them down and smash the bottles against the wall under the deck. Not much in the way of seating, but if the weather is nice, grab a cold one and release some stress outdoors. This place has been around 50 years or more!

It’s a drive up, curb service beer place. Order from your car and drink in your car or on the outdoor deck. Tradition is to throw your empty bottle under the deck and break it against the brick wall. Loads of fun and good times!

This is a cool little stop for a beer. Where else can you have a cold one and just chuck the bottle to break it when done? It’s not really a place you come hang out for more than one or two, but quick, east, and destructive all in one. What more could you ask for? Give it a try and enjoy the Mighty Mo views to the south as well.

Where else in the entire country can you drive up, park, order beer, drink in your car, and smash the empty bottles under an old wooden loading dock in front of the building. Legally. Nowhere is where else.

Great unique little bar – if it’s nice enough out, sit outside. If you have a glass bottle, they’ll normally let you fling it under the dock to break it under the wall. Pretty fun!
