Reasonable price, family friendly, and a cozy atmosphere with small booths, children’s chairs, and a pew. Exceptionally good ice cream! I had the banana pudding and it tasted just like freshly homemade banana pudding, not that artificial stuff. Cash only, but they do have an ATM in the store.

The pic was after I had dug into the wonderful coconut almond ice cream. We were staying at OIB but decided to drive up and found this a lovely place. The servings are generous and the person that helped us was very nice. Everyone in my party loved their ice cream, the waffle cones had a hint of cinnamon…yum! A nice place to sit outside in the evening. Thank you for our vacation treat.

Kim is the best “scooper” on the east coast! We are locals, and of course, we frequently have our nightly treat here! Kim and Dwight are so friendly, as well as the other patrons who come in. My husband was having back problems when we went in one day, and he got a free yoga lesson from a gentleman that was having ice crean with his wife! You never know what’s gonna happen at The Ice Cream Shoppe!! We absolutely love it!

My family actually visited this ice cream shop during the summer of 2022. It was fantastic! The service was excellent and patient with my crazy group of 10 that stopped in and the ice cream top notch. The best banana split I’ve had in years. It was so good we came back the next night and got the same thing. As we prepare for another trip to OIB in a few weeks, the whole family said we MUST make another visit or two to The Ice Cream Shoppe. Consider us regulars. Thanks.

This will be our new ice cream stop, when we come to Sunset Beach every year. I got the Strawberry Cheesecake Sundae with strawberries and walnuts. It was so yummy. It was very clean and employees were very nice as well. The big pink ice cream outside made us want to stop by.
