This ice cream shop is amazing! The cookie dough ice cream is absolutely delicious—perfectly creamy with big chunks of dough in every bite. The homemade waffle cups take it to the next level with their fresh, warm, and slightly crunchy texture. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into everything. Friendly service!! Definitely my go-to spot for ice cream!

The Ice Cream Barn ranks in our household’s top three spots for homemade ice cream—and for good reason. Their flavor variety is amazing, and the scoops are rich, generous, and totally satisfying. They even make their waffle cones fresh on-site, and you can often catch them in the act while waiting in line. Sampling a flavor or two before choosing is encouraged—and trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

They’re also serious about sustainability, using compostable cups and spoons to cut down on waste. Even leftover waffle cones don’t get tossed—they’re fed to the cows just across the street. If you’re lucky, you might even catch that happening while you’re there!

This review is a long time coming. The only way I could possibly be here more is if I got a full-time job. Addiction is putting it lightly. If you’re looking for a true farm-to-table, local experience, look no further. I absolutely love this place. The cows that produce the milk for the ice cream are literally across the street. It doesn’t get fresher than that!
I must’ve been here a million and two times, and I’ve tried almost every flavor, so let me highlight our favorites.

Ice Cream:
Classic: Apple crisp ice cream in a waffle bowl (comfort in every bite).
Decadent: Black raspberry with Oreos and/or hot fudge in a waffle bowl (next level indulgence).
Special flavors: Lucky Charms, Nutella (my kids’ favorite), Fruity Pebbles.
Seasonal favorites: Pumpkin flavor (Fall time) and RumChata (Christmas time)

Shakes:
Pistachio ice cream with hot fudge blended
Black raspberry with Oreos blended
Coffee milk (made with Autocrat syrup) with Oreos blended
Pro tip: Get a waffle cone on the side, smash it up, and eat the pieces like chips, while sipping your shake. Game changer.

Love you guys. Keep doing what you do!

Long time customer. The quality of their shakes has gone WAY down compared to how they have been made for years. Though delicious, they are no longer thick and are made with much less ice cream. They are now using a scale and the amount of ice cream is significantly less and does not justify the premium price point.

Amazing homemade ice cream. It’s so nice to see there is a close ice cream place that actually makes their own. Great flavors. I recommend the cinnamon.

One of our favorite summer stops! So much seating. The staff is wonderful and always welcoming no matter how busy or slow! The portions are huge so always order down. I get a kiddie and that’s what I would consider a small. So many flavors and toppings to choose from to make it your own! Perfect for kids and adults. My daughter loves to look at the cows across the street before we grab our ice cream!

I’ve actually written to the owners of the Ice Cream Barn twice to tell them how exceptional their young workers are. During the dozens of times we’ve gone for ice cream, whether it’s hot summer night with the line out the door or in the middle of winter (!) when we were the only people there, the workers are poised, patient, friendly, and efficient.
They make people happy, so how great is that?
Truly the best ice cream you will find almost anywhere, and we’ve tried a bunch of places.
Inventive flavors and rotating seasonal flavors, handmade waffle cones and bowls, and the cows are right across the street grazing. The full butterfat milk makes for extremely creamy ice cream. Beware: a regular in a waffle cone can almost feed two people. But I’ll get it for myself every time!
Worth a 45-minute drive every time.
