We ordered 4 dishes, Mix Veggie Pakora, Lamb Curry, Hyderabad Egg Biryani, and Aloo Gobi. All were fantastic and bursting with flavor.
We ordered everything as a medium spicy and they were perfect. One was a little more spicy than the rest, but that was also nice.
This restaurant looks more like a takeout, but eating in is also just fine. When we were there, there were 4 other groups eating in, and about 4 takeout orders during our stay. We wish that more people would be eating there so that everyone can experience the great food they serve up.
1. There’s no soap in the unisex bathroom. My husband let the employee know. Even though there is a sink in the lobby area, it has a sign that says use of sink not allowed, or something like that.
2. We weren’t told ahead of time, that the ONLY way you can tip, is to tell the waiter BEFORE he brings the check to you. We had no idea of this rule, so when we got the check, with no pen, my husband went to go ask for a pen, and the other guy (more hair & stocky guy asked ‘why?’ We said we had to sign it & give a tip. (??) That’s when he said, oh you need to tell the waiter ahead of time, bc it’s rung differently, and that most people usually give a cash tip. OK, come on now, don’t you think you’re shooting yourself in the foot by NOT telling the customer this 1st? We had no cash on us. My husband looked in the cash tips jar, and there were only coins.
3. When we ordered, we asked the waiter if there was any green things(herbs) on the TWO naan that we wanted? He said, “cilantro? Yes.” We said we didn’t want anyyyyyy cilantro. We reiterated, “no green stuff.” He repeated the order back to us. We got the potato naan & garlic naan. Guess what it had on AND in it? Green herbs (cilantro!). Icky. But we decided to eat it anyways. Sadly to say, we left a lot at the end of the meal. He hadn’t checked on us till the very end of our meal (we were the only diners, but there were a few door dashers). He asked how our meal was? So I brought up that we asked for no green herbs, and yet here we are, both Naans have green herbs! And he had the audacity to say, “oh, well it comes that way?” Please, listen differently, or just say “no special requests.”
Enjoy my photos, I do take pics of the floors, in case you use a wheelchair/walker/rollinator/cane , and need to know the rugs /tile situation.
The food was Phenomenal!!
As soon as we walked in we could smell the flavors and could tell the food was going to be Amazing!
Spicy
Flavorful
Hot
Fresh!! So fresh!!
Service was top notch and very friendly!
We ordered:
Vegetable Samosa
Garlic Naan bread
Lentil Soup
Chicken “65” Biryani
Chicken Tandoori Leg & Thigh
It was Perfect for a cold 1° Minnesota night!
Ordered the Paneer Tikka Masala, I did, and strong with the flavor it was. Rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced—a comforting bowl of warmth that could thaw even a Hoth-level chill. The Paneer Naan made an excellent companion: soft, toasty, and generously filled, each bite reminding me that carbs are the true path to the Light Side.
The menu itself is vast, offering everything from street bites to biryanis to dosas—a full galactic map of Indian cuisine for future visits. Service, however, hovered somewhere in the “just okay” range. Not unkind, simply not as attentive as the Force might prefer.
Still, for bold, soul-soothing flavors, this spot delivers. Return, a Jedi surely will… especially for that naan.
Curry chicken momo is good and flavorful. Medium spicy is definitely spicy minnesotan spicy.
Pretty good lamb korma. Medium spicy is much lighter than on the momos. Good texture on the paneer. Tender and wellcooked lamb, and you can still kind of taste the meat itself.
Large, buttery, garlicy naan.
Nice standard mango lassi, medium sweet and lightly tangy.
The waiting area looked like it hadn’t been touched since 2003: chipped, cracked tile everywhere, and the single booth shoved right up against the wall so you can’t even sit without your back screaming. Thermostat was set to a balmy 52 degrees. I was still wearing my coat, scarf, AND hat indoors and my fingers were numb. Asked the server to turn up the heat and he just stared at me like I’d asked him to solve quantum physics. Zero emotion, zero reaction—just a blank “this is fine” NPC face. Glitching hard.
Food actually tasted pretty good, I’ll give them that. The flavors were solid. But the portions were stingy for the price—felt like they were rationing during a siege.
Between the locked-door paranoia, arctic dining room, broken furniture, and server who seemed to be running on Windows 95, this place gave me the creeps more than it gave me a meal. One star purely because the curry didn’t suck. That’s it. Never again.
I suspect the bulk of their business is delivery, but they have a perfectly serviceable dining area which we made use of.
