A good place for a sub sandwich the bread is fresh soft and the food’s great. I would give them a 10 if I could because their food is a whole lot better than Subway will ever be.

My 7 inch turkey sub ended being almost 12 dollars becuase I added cheese to it? Which the employee told me after it was done and made. Ok, so now I get home, unwrap my sandwich, the bread is dry and stale. Please do better, never been this disappointed to

I’ve been stopping in maybe once every 2 weeks for about a year now and every single person has been friendly and attentive. I can’t comment on anything outside of baked potatoes, but those have all been great. Not a single issue so far. I also have to imagine with people this friendly that if there ever was an issue, they’d be willing to fix it.

As always, the food was very good (much better option than Subway). The employees are always very friendly. The best part about this Hungry Hobo is the very generous owner who really cares about his community. Because of the welcoming atmosphere he has created within his restaurant, not only will I continue to be a loyal customer, but I will share my experience here with the many families in this community I am connected to. Thanks for embodying the “we’re all in this together” mentality during this pandemic. Your community members appreciate you and will continue to support your business!

Always slow but the food is usually good. Not anymore I guess. The cheese curds and fries were really badly overcooked and really bad. The king taco salad seemed just as big and the regular size and was full of mostly only lettuce. Not worth the usual 20 min wait in the drive thru.

Absolutely awful. Very poor customer service. never know from one day to the next, if the dinning room will be open. They will make no accommodations for truck drivers, when dining room is closed. You have to park your truck out front, and walk in, only to be told you can only order on the app, and must go to the drive thru to pick it up. . Extremely rude when you walk in the door as well. Will never go to this establishment again, and will advise all my driver friends to do the same. Shame on you!

I love hungry hobo but I’m fed up with them. Food has been hit or miss, constantly get tomatoes when I request no tomatoes, dining room is never open, hours change constantly. Says they are open till 7pm today, went at 4:30 and sat at the drive thru for several minutes. Finally went to the front door, no lights, no workers and no sign they were closed. This will be my last visit…

Don’t waste any more time looking for the perfect restaurant. Get yourself down to Hungry Hobo. I live in Florida but whenever I’m in Eastern Iowa, I always stop at the Hungry Hobo in Eldridge for a Reuben and a baked potato. The staff are so incredibly friendly. The place is clean. Parking is REALLY easy and did I mention that the staff are REALLY friendly?

The sandwiches here are pretty mediocre, you could probably get a better one from Subway. However, they have many unique soup options all year, and they do a good job with the loaded baked potatoes. The little cakes at the front are also pretty good, always moist.

Well I see why it’s called Hungry Hobo because after spending $20 on dinner I left still hungry and had to run to McDonalds for a McDouble and fries and now I’m full. So I won’t be leaving Hungry Hobo hungry any longer because I won’t be going there next time I’ll just go straight to McDonalds and save a trip and $20.
