This is a wonderful bakery for nostalgic, quintessentially American desserts. I had bars I would only get once a year at Christmas time when I was young here. Additionally, this is a fantastic option for people who are avoiding tree nuts in the Wilamette valley. Their cheesecake was good and had a wonderful nut-free crust. I will be seeking this out in the future they are just that good a 45 minute car ride will not be a deterrent. Produced better quality baked goods than well known Portland bakeries.

We served Hungry Hero desserts at our wedding and couldn’t be happier that we did! Everything looked and tasted so good! They had a great variety to choose from. We loved having a dessert table and also a small wedding cake for us to cut. And the cake was amazing! It was so great that they provided serving platters for us to borrow and they were so easy to work with. Can’t wait to get more treats from Hungry Hero in the future!

I saw the owners of this bakery on Netflix’s Sugar Rush and decided to order a red velvet cake — it was beautifully decorated and delicious, and the bakery itself is super-cute (very Instagrammable if you’re into that). Splurge on the $6 to make your cake ‘extra’, with a decorative cookie and extra frosting and sprinkles. They also have cupcakes, cookies, bars and other treats.

This small, local business in Sherwood certainly has big taste! We were so happy with the accommodations and service provided by The Hungry Hero Dessert Co. Everything from the cake tastings to the beautiful decorations. Several guests at our small ceremony said it was “the best cake” they’ve ever had! We opted for the chocolate chip cake, a wonderful balance of sweet. Thank you so much for making our wedding cake! We can’t wait to eat the rest of it in a year!

Just when you thought you couldn’t find another great cookie spot… this place is legit! Some of the best cookies I’ve ever had. The Ugly Cookie, Cereal Killer, and Choclate potato chip ones were amazing. I also had some pumpkin basque cheesecake. Everything here was great and deficient would come back for more.

This place is a gem and I am so glad they are in my neighborhood so I don’t have to travel far for their treats! Great variety of always available options with fantastic rotating seasonal surprises. Staff are always friendly and helpful. One time I had a cheesecake pick up scheduled and there was an unforeseen issue with the pick up time and I was heading out of town so didn’t really have the ability to come back later in the day, was just going to cancel the pick up and get it the following week but they bent over backward to get it to me before I left town. The food and the customer service are top notch!

We had a great experience with Hungry Hero as our wedding dessert bakers! As a couple, we did not want to do the traditional cake and cake cutting so we opted for the generous table of desserts! Best decision! During the planning process of our wedding, one of my favorite memories is doing our tasting at Hungry Hero’s cozy shop. Everyone loved having dessert choices during the wedding and since we let our sweet tooth do the ordering we had plenty left to enjoy days after our reception! We cannot wait to come back for anniversary desserts!
