I stopped by The Hungry Greek for takeout and had such a good experience. The food was excellent! It was super fresh, flavorful, and honestly way better than I expected. I ordered the gyro pita and it was amazing. Huge, loaded, and so good I could only finish half. The Greek fries were bomb, with feta and oregano sprinkled on top, and the side Greek salad was fresh. It had a little more onion than I usually like, but the beets and olives made up for it.
Service was fantastic! Keaton greeted me as soon as I walked in and was so kind and welcoming. He gave great recommendations, including the desserts, and seriously, don’t skip them. The baklava cheesecake and the chocolate cake are worth the stop alone.
The restaurant itself was very clean, and it wasn’t busy at all on a Tuesday evening, which made it even quicker to get in and out.
I’d absolutely come back. Highly recommend!!!!

I am so upset as it’s my birthday today and we chose to come here at my request. First the person taking the order was so low on energy he literally leaned on the register as we ordered. Once the food arrived which was not long I noticed that my spanikopita (spinich pie) was so greasy I didn’t even eat it. I did speak with a person there and explained that it was not edible, the reply “it’s cooked on the flat top and I’m sorry.” $50+ wasted and I’m upset with my birthday food. I won’t be back

We were hungry after dropping our cat off for emergency surgery and coming home and cooking was not an option. I had the Greek Salad which was extremely good – every bit the quality of Acropolis! My husband had the Gyro Pita which was also delicious. The portion size of both of our entrees was large and we couldn’t even finish them. The staff were friendly and attentive, the order was correct, food was hot, and the restaurant was clean. We are so lucky to have this gem in Apollo Beach!!

Delicious food! Friendly staff, helpful, excellent service. The food was fresh and savory. Greek Salad on Pita w/ side of Falafel, so yummy. My husband loved the Lamb Gyro Dinner. I’ve been to Greek Restaurants across the United States and this one rates 5 stars in my book!!

5 stars all the way! We went to The Hungry Greek for the first time and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The food was incredible. My Chicken Souvlaki was delicious, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her Veggie Pita. You can tell they use quality ingredients, from the tender chicken to the fresh vegetables. The best part was the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the genuinely friendly staff. We’ll be recommending this place to everyone!

I unknowingly walked in 1 minute before closing and the team still served me with a SMILE on their face!! 10/10 service and food is always 11/10! Good, clean, healthy food, prepped well and delicious! Very clean store and staff is sanitary. They have earned themselves regular customers with me and my family! Owner is also very kind and personable. They gave me some free Baklava to try. Thank you guys!
