With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

Saw the walk up window while in my way to à lunch meet up next door so couldn’t pass up the opportunity to check it out.
The iced shaken espesso was pretty tasty. Good price point. Staff who worked the walk up window were really friendly. Took a few minutes for my drink to arrive because they had several people at the drive thru and I’m not sure how the orders get prioritized.
Good experience. I’ll be back to this location.

Quick friendly service. Large drink options and the chocolate coffee beans are great. Went through the drive thru and was in and out pretty quick with two large cold brews. Coffee tasted good and was not bitter like some places. Overall great experience and great tasting cold brew.

My visit in Oregon was short and I tried different coffee shops on the way to my customers.
I wish I would’ve just had stick to this one. Idk what it was but the coffee was delicious and didn’t feel to heavy.
Also friendly staff! One of the pretty girls gave me so pointers on things to do and see.
I would definitely recommend this place to everyone

Pick up a lot for work from this location and the employees are always kind and up for a short chat. Have gotten a few drinks as well and they have all tasted good. Had a nice iced black tea recently and it was very good. Asked for it to be not too sweet and the young lady nailed it. Thank you!

I came here just to buy gift cards for my nieces who live out of town, but also have a Human Bean where they live in Hermiston, Oregon.
They have a promotion right now for a free drink when you purchase $25 in gift cards! Bonus! I’ve never been here before, so a free “sampling” was a welcome surprise! Especially in the busy holiday season!
The 2 girls working were so nice and patient as I perused the menu! I ended up getting a 20 oz. Breve Snowy (essentially a white mocha), at the recommendation of the barista who took the time to ask what I usually drink. The drink was pretty good! A little similar to Dutch Bros., both Oregon bred, but the vibe of this cute little shop is what got my attention for the positive! Definitely worth a try if you’re a coffee lover looking for something else.

Really enjoyed the Irish Creme Breve, and Mexi Mocha. Not too sweet, and good balance of coffee flavors.
There is food available if you wish to grab a bite. However, don’t expect anything great. Microwaved sandwiches for the road.

Twice in the past I’ve ordered oat milk in my coffees and gotten dairy, which is fine for me since it’s just a preference so I let it slide. This last time I figured I’d just get something without milk but their cold brew was really bland and watery. I don’t know why I keep having a bad time here. Everyone is really friendly but I would never recommend this place for anyone with allergies.
