With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

I asked for a less sweet large shaken espresso and my barista made it perfectly. When they handed it to me, she even offered to remake it if it didnt taste good and when i tasted it i was genuinely surprised that she even needed to offer that. This thang is delicious.
I didnt want to pull back though just to compliment the drink (I’m awkward), so i figured a good 5 star review was necessary. Ive always loved the Human Bean and they continue to be my favorite.

The customer service is excellent, but the coffee was not to my taste. It was quite strong, even though I added a lot of vanilla. I would still come here for the customer service, but not for the coffee.

While the employees that work here are great and deserve 5 stars, management deserves a zero! This store is constantly out of product with a grocery store less than a block away. A call to the “manager” is an exercise it futility as Emma never returns a call and the voice mailbox has been full for 2 weeks plus. It’s a shame things are the way they are due to management or the lack thereof, because the employees are great. I’m a daily customer. Unfortunately until the situation is rectified I will not return.

I have gone to this human bean for quite a while and when I started going here everything was fantastic both service and coffee. I order the same thing everyday and over the last few months my coffee has been consistently bad, I hit a point of frustration today after my coffee was remade and was worse than the original that I left it on the counter without even getting a refund. There are plenty of other human bean locations and I would recommend trying one of those instead.

I really like that the Human Bean Coffee ☕️ has a drive thru, the coffee is great ! The one I got was the Java chip they even had topped it with a chocolate covered coffee bean. I want to try the sugar free / Dairy free options next time I visit.

My husbands vanilla latte was undrinkable. Tasted like old milk. My caramel machiatto was more like a cup of iced drowned in caramel which each sip being just a big chunk of caramel. Its like I was just drinking out of the bottle that was filled with caramel. My first reviews respsonse was not it. Tried again and was more “specific” of how I would like my machiatto made like the person on the review told me to in a condescending manner and baristas just dont know how to make a machiatto.

Not a fan of buying coffee publicly but this place has changed my mind. Quick & courteous service combined with great coffee drinks makes stopping by worth it. I enjoyed the Carmel Mocha & daughter had the vanilla. Hot and tasty with full flavor warmed us up. They will get my repeat business.

Service is good, but you need to shout your order to be heard over traffic so ordering took a bit and a few tries to get right.

Lady working was extremely rude and wouldn’t give a “couple” of the Chocolate covered coffee beans for me, the DoorDash Driver early in the morning. Since it probably costs herself money right? I mean seriously, I’m sorry but do they really cost that much money that u can’t give the Door Dash Drivers some when they come by to pick up a Dash Order? Lol
