With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

Drive-thru chain serving espresso, coffee, tea, smoothies & kid-friendly beverages.

Incredible coffee and also they actually have food for people with dietary restrictions like gluten-free and vegan. This place is awesome and SO much better than any coffee place in Teller County or the Springs. The prices are totally reasonable too; it’s not like $6/7 (yeah I said it) for a snack.

I’m a coffee lover, this was the BEST coffee! Friendly staff, I had to go everyday while visiting this beautiful town! The Human Bean is equivalent to 7brew establishment. But the options they have are very similar to Starbucks. But better tasting in my opinion. No indoor seating but they have a super cute set up outside! Or you can just go through the drive thru!

I recently visited Human Bean in Woodland Park, and I was instantly drawn to the adorable coffee shop with its charming wood-based architecture that gave off a cozy cabin vibe. Opting for the outdoor seating and walk-up ordering, I was excited to try their drinks.

I decided on a 32 oz Java Chip with Chai and an Iced Caramel Macchiato. The total came to $17, which felt a bit steep after factoring in tax. Unfortunately, the drinks weren’t mixed properly, and I found all the syrup settled at the bottom.

Despite that, the service was friendly and efficient, and the drive-thru was impressively quick. In my opinion, Human Bean outshines Starbucks in terms of quality, but it didn’t quite reach the excellence I associate with Dutch Bros. I still enjoyed my coffee however, and we’ll probably be back the next time I travel through Woodland Park.

The Human Bean is the place to be! We visited once, twice, every single day we were in the area! The coffee is to die for and all items we purchased there was tasty. We need one in every state. The staff were always polite and helpful. Each coffee drink is served with a chocolate covered coffee bean on top. Perfect in every way, go, go now!!

This is the one stop we have to make any time we come through Woodland Park! No glorified starbucks, whether it’s a latte, cold brew or drip, it is absolutely good coffee with true flavor. The service is kind and generous each time we’ve been there. We even got a bag of their chocolate covered beans and they are heavenly!
One last note, be careful bringing your drinks on board. You don’t want to drop your free bean! They were kind enough to replace mine.

Great coffee shop with strong coffee flavored drinks. If you prefer coffee-dominant tasting drinks, this is the place for you! If you like your drinks sweeter, I’d add an extra pump or so of flavoring. Quick and friendly service. My only critique is their drinks are pictured with whipped cream, but ours didn’t come with it and we weren’t asked. Not a big deal, just a preference for this whipped cream lover! We don’t live in CO but the next time we visit we’ll stop here again. Thanks for the yummy drink!!

We are driving to Texas and decided to randomly stop at this little coffee shop. The coffee was so tasty, there’s a little candy at the top. I also got a bacon egg and cheese bagel. It was huge, tasty and warm. Loved it. Service was great. Definitely wish they had this little shop back home!

This was a great little place to stop, the service was super quick and the barista was super nice. They also put a cute little covered espresso bean on the lid of the coffee which was such a nice touch. They had a good range of sizes from 12 ozs to 32. Plus, it was less than $40 for 5 drinks! I would absolutely come here again!
