With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

I genuinely don’t know how they don’t have a perfect five stars. They’re the kindest and most patient customer service I’ve ever experienced! I have anxiety and have a hard time ordering (I try to order ahead most places) but I just moved here and every time (which has become a regular thing now) I’ve visited the person at the window is so reassuring and helpful! Not to mention the drinks are AMAZING! The creativity, the customization— it’s hard to find good matcha that isn’t pre-sweetened and they have it. Overall just the best experience I could ever hope for. Never changing coffee shops again. ↕️✨♥️

I went to get myself a drink the other day. When I went to pay I expected the barista to hand me the card reader so I can sign and give a tip. That didn’t happen. The barista decided not to ask me if I wanted to leave a tip. Instead she tipped herself $7 on top of was I was paying for the drink. I don’t think it’s right that I can’t decided how much of a tip I want to leave. Isn’t there courtesy of asking instead of just taking? Not going back there.

I was drinking my blended coffee when I felt a weird texture in my mouth and looked to see what it was and it was a dead wasp in my coffee!!!! This is very disgusting and unsanitary!!!!! I tried calling to talk to someone and no one answered. Not happy at all!!!!!!!!!!!! It doesn’t give me the choice to have no stars but felt like I needed to let this place know!!!!

I ordered a 32oz sparkling Italian soda and the last time I went they didn’t even use a new can so it wasn’t even fizzy I got frustrated but figured it could just be a one time thing so I went back and ordered another Italian soda and the exact same thing happened no fiz at all if I’m paying for like an $8 drink I expect them to use a new can of sparkling water very disappointed. Went to another location and didn’t have the same issue and it tasted amazing so it’s just this place.

Why I feel like I’m cheating on ziggis ♀️ but when Human Bean makes their seasonal fresh lemonade and pair it with tea and some raspberry flavor I’m still not sure if it’s a bay breeze or just a breeze but its worth it!! It comes with green tea but try black or hibiscus both just as refreshing

Our office visits this Human Bean often (maybe a little *too* often). Our drinks are always delicious and orders are always accurate. In our humble opinion, Human Bean offers the best tasting coffee around — and don’t get me started on their burritos — SO good!
