With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

Pumpkin Snowy w/pumpkin cold foam is hands down the best Pumpkin drink for the fall. Not too sweet and very well balanced for every visit I’ve had no matter what time of the day. Pricing is very similar to other coffee shops.

I see this place everyday on my way to work and had some extra time this morning so I decided to stop by. So glad I did the coffee is amazing and they made my order quickly. I got the Caramel Hazelnut Oat Shaken Espresso. It’s cute they even put a little chocolate egg on the top. Will definitely be stopping by again before work.

I’ve never had a coffee make a complete mess over my shirt and shorts and car as I’m trying to drink!!
Ordered a pumpkin snowy that looked nothing like the photo and tasted like milk.

I absolutely love this place! I come here 2-3 times a week and refuse to go to Starbucks or Dutch bros anymore! The coffees are great! This is my go to anytime during the week!

Not sure what happened. Our first Human Bean experience happened in Arizona, so we were excited to find out we were getting one here at home. The problem..was pretty much everything. The coffees didn’t taste like how they should…not to mention they didn’t even taste like coffee!! I got warm milk!
My Irish Breve was not Irish and it was not sweet…not to mention they CHARGED me for “extra sweet”!!! Seriously?!? My wife’s snowy mocha was not sweet and was not chocolatey!
The crazy part is we had to pay for extra shots of espresso and the drinks STILL tasted like warm milk…not even hot.
And the bacon cheddar English muffin tasted like an over microwaved frozen one.
I’m hoping it’s only “just opened growing pains”. Too many negatives to pay $24 for something I couldn’t even drink. If HB offers me a redo I’ll go again…not sure when I’ll be willing to PAY again for it. Hit me up HB.

We loved it! The service was great. We tried the Snowy Mocha & the Mexi Mocha. I saw another review that said the snowy Mocha was not sweet and I have to say I agree, but to me that’s my favorite thing about it. These drinks were the perfect balance of sweetness & espresso. As an avid coffee drinker I can’t do overly sweet drinks such as the ones I’ve experienced @ Dutch Bros. The white Mocha @ starbucks can be too sweet most of the time so I can see why they would say this was not sweet when compared.
We tried them iced, but I’ll definitely be back to try the latte version. Also, the little candy bean was a good and unique touch to it.

I come here more than I do Starbucks now. Since its opening service is awesome and drinks are great. My Toddler son loves the strawberry smoothie. Whomever is making drinks today 7/28/2025 made my iced latte perfect! Not too much cream, perfect amount of vanilla and the flavor of the espresso is on point.
