With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

I really hate to give bad reviews so if I give you one, it’s because you did bad your product’s bad you downright were blatant and doing wrong. Cold brew coffee was absolutely disgusting. You might be called the human being, but I didn’t taste any bean in my coffee none and when I pulled up, the service was very slow when I finally got to the counter outside of my car. It was ready, but they were moving cars so slowin the price was just like Starbucks, but it didn’t taste like Starbucks I won’t be back sadly this coffee is no good no Bean taste what soap ever in the iced coffee. The cold brew wasn’t even strong. I threw it away and went got a real coffee at Starbucks. I hope you learn from this. Taste your coffee before you sell it.

I was in the area for a retreat and looking for sustainably sourced, organic coffee to help with a headache I was battling. I had it delivered; my first rendezvous with DoorDash. I was blown away that I ordered in bed, dressed up and got upstairs and my coffee was already at the front door and the retreat center was in the COUNTY, lol. The coffee was fabulous and the staff called me to clarify one aspect of my order, they were super sweet to do so. The next day I went in person on my way out of town, what a cool place, the coffee and staff were just as lovely as the delivery experience. And I couldn’t stop chuckling at the clever name…Human Bean

My wife and I ran across The Human BEAN while in Akron for a weekend get away! We actually met the owner of this location, he was a really nice guy! When we arrived he was unloading some supplies for the Coffee shop near the drive through. We chatted with him briefly, ordered our drinks and pulled around. When we went to pay, one of the barista informed us that the owner took care of the bill and it was on the house! The coffee was absolutely amazing! We will definitely be back! For all the coffee lovers out there, go check them out! You will love it!

I enjoyed every bit of my fresh warm tasty everything bagel with cream cheese and coffee and the dragon fruit citrus tea was so good. I’d suggest this place. They also put a cute candy coffee bean on top of the drinks. I love it❤️❤️❤️

Excellent lattes. The drive thru was fast and fun! On Christmas Eve, Santa was serving coffee and we absolutely loved that! Such a fun atmosphere. It’s so good to see people enjoying their jobs. Highly recommend.

I love love love The Human Bean! I have never had anything bad here. My all time favorite drink so far has been the Pumpkin Snowy! The young ladies that work here are sweet. They have a wonderful selection of everything ! Favorite coffee place !

I wanted to try a new coffee place today so I tried human bean! I ordered the Carmel hazelnut oat shaken espresso. It is not sweet at all and it does not taste good at all either. It doesn’t really taste like coffee. Maybe my order was wrong and that’s why it wasn’t sweet or anything but if it wasn’t it’s just not good at all. Very bitter and not much flavor. Also I ordered a medium and my cup looks like a small. The service was a great and the bagel was fine as well.

My grandkids love this place because they said it’s like Starbucks with better prices and better customer service. I had a green tea smoothie with blackberry and it was delicious! It tasted so fresh and it was really good! All of us liked our stuff! I just wish we lived closer. Yum!

Love this location too. Very friendly, great drinks & muffins & bagels. Favorite drink here is a Honey Oat milk latte hot (with real honey). The orange cranberry muffins are delicious & the everything bagels with cream cheese are delightful as well.
