With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

This place is sensational. I don’t miss a single day without my Bean drink. Between their extremely flavorful hot coffees and their amazing frozen coffees, they also have an energy drink called a Bright—and it works better than any canned energy drink I’ve tried. You can mix any flavor or combination you can imagine.
The staff is unbelievable. They always treat me like a regular. They don’t just hand you your drink and move on—they actually take the time to talk and connect with you. I love that personal touch.
This place rivals any chain coffee spot out there. On top of that, they’re usually cheaper, and their coffee is much bolder. Don’t drive by without giving this place a try!

The Mexi granita with macadamia nut milk was phenomenal! They have a lot of really unique flavors and love the macadamia nut milk alternative! Friendly employees.
They don’t warm up the desserts or muffin tops which I didn’t care for eating them that way. Hopefully they will consider warming it in the future. Their coffee is really good though!
Update: Tried the Spinach Feta Pretzel warmed & it was sooo good! It tasted like a way better version of a calzone. So yum!
Update: I think they hate me cause I asked for a half sweet/unsweet drink and it came unsweet. It was bearable, but that’s definitely not what I ever ask for here. :-/

I dropped I. Today and grabbed some breakfast. Their spinach’s and feta pretzel pastry was very good and filling. We also got the egg bites, which were very good. I also got the jalapeño with sausage and egg. I only got two bites of it when my great grandson took the rest and ate the whole thing. The two bites I had was really really good. We will definitely be going back.

The Mexi is everything that coffee should be, and it doesn’t taste different when you get non-lactose milk. Get yourself a flavored espresso bean to go with it. It’s a game changer. Thanks, you rockin’ baristas! I first ordered from them on Doordash, but I went today for the first time and they even have little kids drinks that aren’t coffee. 🙂 I appreciate that because I love taking my little girls for warm drinks in the fall.

The drink was great, the service was great, however, I overheard who I think was the manager or senior barista, speak to the server very rudely and unprofessional. From my understanding, the server(barista seemed to be fairly new) was not clear in how to make a drink. The senior personnel talked down to the server in front of the customers and took over the task out of frustration, forgetting they were once a new, learning member of the staff. Very disappointing.

I absolutely love this new little place ! It’s so good and it’s a fresh change from having Dunkin or Starbucks. I get the java chip with coffee . The espresso beans they add to every drink are delicious too !!!

My senior mom and I rolled through the Human Bean in Fort Oglethorpe this morning for our Game Day latte and it is the best you can get anywhere. We refuse to go to any other coffee shops. The owner is very kind and her staff as well. They never disappoint. We always get a 32oz vanilla latte with 4 shots instead of 5, no whip cream. They are so delicious and have just the right amount to balance out the coffee and the vanilla. They are out of the world good. Everyone should check out Human Bean in Fort Oglethorpe. The Human Bean in Fort Oglethorpe is a MUST TRY but be warned if you try it, you will be returning because they are the best! If you want a yummy coffee drink and phenomenal service the Human Bean is it!

Stopped by for the first time with the wife after breakfast. Hands down one of the best smoothies I’ve ever had and she loved her blended espresso. Not much of a wait at all and staff at the window was incredibly nice. Definitely going back again.
