With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

I love this Human Bean. It’s very convenient for me as it’s on the correct side of the road during my morning commute down McGinnis Ferry and the service is FAST. There’s no waiting in line, and if there are cars in the drive through they keep them moving quickly. The coffee is fantastic and the food is amazing. It’s far superior to other larger chains that I don’t need to mention by name, but we all know who they are – and the quality you get for a better price, in my opinion, makes going here a no brainer.
Additionally – I wanna give a shout out to the staff. They’re all incredibly friendly. I’m typically starting my day here, and they always make it a very pleasant experience! We all need some positive interaction in the morning to get our days started on the right foot, and this Human Bean delivers on that!
I highly recommend these guys and I think they’re a great addition to our community. A wonderful business!

I absolutely love the Human Bean. I was in search of a new coffee shop recently, and one of my friends was telling me about the Human Bean. I decided to give it a shot and got an ice shaken espresso with oat milk and absolutely loved it. I have been going back every Morning that I can since then. Not only is the coffee, good but the service is also great my favorite worker is this girl named Eden. She is so sweet and always asks how my day is and what I’m up to. No better way to start the morning than with a good coffee and a good conversation. If you haven’t already, I would definitely give the Human Bean a try. They also have other locations that this one is by far my favorite.

My favorite coffee shop! The coffee is truly so fresh and delicious every time I order it. I always know I’m getting a consistent cup that will not disappoint. Haven’t ventured out too much with their food options but the muffin tops are always moist, warm and yummy. They have a great reward system in the app that always gives me points for free drinks every few visits. The staff is always friendly and welcoming and I always know my visit will be 10 out of 10. When it was my birthday and I came to redeem my free drink reward, they wrote a sweet personalized message on my cup, and even gave me a free keychain. Can’t recommend enough!

Love this coffee shop! The drive-thru is incredibly convenient and makes grabbing a great cup of coffee quick and easy, especially on busy mornings. They have a great selection of drinks, the line moves fast and the staff is friendly. Perfect stop when you’re on the go.

I’m a die hard frappuccino girlie , typically get starbucks or tradewond coffee so this is my first time trying something out of my normal routine. I ordered a pumpkin snowy and let me tell ya the pumpkin is POPPING with flavor. it’s absolutely delicious and now i want more ! wish it was closer to my home i’d get one every day. Tried the cappuccino as well and it’s very smooth and has a nice taste.
I also found it really cute that they give you an espresso candied bean on top of your drink, it’s a nice little sweet treat and makes you really remember the place . Will definitely be visiting again , thank you for making great coffee !!

Im very disappointed in my experience here. I was recommended this spot some months back by a friend and she raved about how amazing the coffee was and how good the service was. I passed it on my way to my daughters soccer game and decided I would finally stop by. The coffee was nothing less than horrid! I got the snowy mocha and it tasted almost old? I was highly surprised considering that I got such a good recommendation. And the service ? No where near welcoming or good. Mediocre at best. I was greated with a “ yo” at the window along with a monotoned “your total is”. This is very distasteful and unprofessional. They closed the window on me until my drink came out as well. The chocolate on top of my drink was the only pleasant thing about my experience. I am disappointed and even more stunned as I looked through the reviews of this place.

This place has really fallen off and I’ve been visiting since it opened. It’s sad cause it was once an enjoyable stop in my morning but now there is never any familiar faces and it’s a gamble whether your drink is made correctly. It’s now the McDonald’s of coffee shops

Love their drinks. It’s pretty good. I got the caramel cold foam cold brew. Wish they topped it with the sipping lid so I could have sipped the cold foam first. Also wanted it the cold brew itself to have sweetened caramel flavour but I guess she didn’t know what I meant. It was okay.
