Susie was awesome, great recommendations for out of townies- put your belly in their hands! She was so full of information and history. The building is dated but charming. I was totally blown away by the decor, there are antique beer steins along the wall. Such a great experience. GET THE PRETZEL its so good.

Oldest restaurant in Saint Robert, MO and it doesn’t disappoint! Many great traditional German dishes and some of the best made in-house sauerkraut I’ve ever eaten. Portions are huge! Don’t miss this place!

Took my wife here for her 1st time for some authentic German Cuisine, because I knew how good the food is. The food is beyond outstanding and not know exactly what she would want, we got 2 large dishes that has a little bit of each and shared each dish We got the Schnitzel Trio and the Bavarian Platter to share. The Trio comes with Cordon Bleu, Jager and St Moritz and the Bavarian Platter has a smoked pork chop, knackwurst, and bratwurst. This is the best way to do it, in my opinion, then you have a wider range of choices. The German green beans you could eat by the plate load along with their salad. They also have a wide and extensive range of deserts if you manage to finish your meal.
The staff is friendly and more than willing to help you choose something if you’re having troubles. This is the only place I will eat every time I manage to get back to their part of Missouri.

This place reminded me so much of being in Germany. The good and beer choices were phenomenal. I had the chicken schnitzel. There were so many excellent choices I did not know where to start. Lived in Germany for 5 years. Hard to find authentic food. They nailed it. I will be back. They even had a beer I usually have a hard time getting in the States.

I ABSOLUTELY love when you stumble across an authentic feeling restaurant and that’s just what we found at The Hub. I’m a sucker for food bc I love to experience cultures and I believe that it’s best done through good authentic food. This place was amazing. I didn’t get to get my favorite, which is their goulash because they were sold out but it was later in the evening so I understand that completely. But the pretzel was so delicious. So soft on the inside but had a good crunch like texture on the outside. The German potato salad was amazing as well. Very well seasoned. I got the schnitzel trio and OMG was it right on point. The ONLY thing wrong with it in my opinion was that I would have preferred the lemon on the side just because where the lemons were made the breading slightly soggy and I prefer the good crunch with fresh squeezed lemon on it. Other than that I definitely will come back!!

Sadly, the food was not impressive. The service was excellent, the decor was fun, and the restaurant was clean. These things however did not make up for the poor quality of the meals. One should expect made-to-order dishes or at least same-day preparation when the price for a full meal is $35 to $55 per person. Simply put, the odds of this being frozen food which is then microwaved is somewhat high. The lack of taste gives it away. Also, if your order arrives 7-9 minutes after service takes it, then you know it was either kept on a heater for hours or microwaved from frozen. It would have been amazing to have a local German restaurant to frequent. Going back for another meal is out of the question.

First time visiting this authentic, locally owned German restaurant and if I get to the area again will definitely be back! The Goulash soup, Weiner Schnitzel, Rouladen.. good grief everything down to the garden salad and potato salad… even the dinner rolls were amazing! Took coconut and chocolate cream pie to go for later. Numerous imported beers to choose from plus a deli counter on the other side of the restaurant! Great, friendly, informative server too! If you want to try real German food in middle America come check out this restaurant!

Having lived in Germany twice this is definitely the most authentic German restaurant I’ve been to in the United States. The food is a little pricey but well worth it the service is top-notch! The portion sizes are large enough that you have enough for lunch the next day if you likeand all of it is very authentic most of it is homemade from scratch I recommend trying the black forest cake and black forest schnitzel you definitely won’t be disappointed!

Stay Away you’ve been warned. The place is empty for a reason. Tried a wide variety of their food to celebrate my daughter’s graduation from Ft Leonard Wood. First meal together after 10 weeks. Salty soggy and cold. Don’t know how they have a higher rating. Maybe things have changed? But read the low reviews. It did seem nothing was fresh but canned low quality ingredients at quality prices.
