Hotspot BBQ & Grill is a hidden gem! The food is absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I tried the fried chicken sandwich and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Flying from LaGuardia today back to Florida with my daughter, our flight kept getting delayed again and again. Once it was clear we were in it for the long haul, we decided to leave the airport and go grab something real to eat.
We ended up at Hot Spot BBQ and Grill in Queens. It was perfect. Exactly what we needed. Great fast food, but with a more elegant, comfortable feel than a typical fast food place. Reuben was running the front of house and he was fantastic. Super friendly, helpful, and really made sure we were taken care of.
My daughter got the kids hot dog and French fries. I ordered the Hangover Burger without the bun, with a side of coleslaw. Beef burger, pastrami, onion rings, fried egg, grilled onions, lettuce, and spicy aioli. I skipped the tomato. The guy at the table next to me ordered it with the bun and it looked like a serious sky scraper of a burger.
For dessert we got the chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice cream. A classic, and done really well. Hot and gooey in the middle, just how it should be.
I’d definitely come back, hopefully without any flight delays next time. Highly recommend.

Stopped in for a quick bite one day. Service was a 10, food was a 10, especially for kosher burgers! You can get it cooked anyway you like and the staff accommodates all your needs! Right by St. John’s University and I’ll definitely be coming back. If you’re in the area give it a try, it’ll be your new favorite Hot Spot.
