If you’re looking for that perfect hotdog, look no further. It truly is the king. Tastsy food, friendly staff with a step in the past atmosphere. It reminds me of how good these places used to be and why I hope places like this never go away.
We got the chili cheese dogs with coleslaw, chili cheese fries with a philly cheese steak paired with a large coke, and everything was delicious. We will be back, and I would highly recommend checking this joint out.

I love hotdogs. I was not about to pass a sign proclaiming to be the Hotdog King without making them prove it to me. It’s a nice quiet little place. The service staff are friendly. The place is clean and well maintained. For me the chili is always the selling point. This chili looks and taste homemade and is exquisite. They have all the standard toppings available slaw cheese kraut and of course chili. If I were going to open a restaurant it would be exactly like this. I don’t know whether they rise to the level of Hotdog King, but they are definitely highly placed in the royal family.

The food really exceeded our expectations. This definitely isn’t your typical hot dog spot! Jayden was great, and we needed up purchasing more because she was very friendly, fluent on the menu, and she had great recommendations. I could see myself coming here often if I lived closer. The chicken tenders were fire, and so were the fries and ranch. I’m not usually a fan of steak fries, but theirs are really good. The burger was also tasty. The bread was toasty and everything meshed well. The thick sliced pickles were great too. We’ll definitely be back!

This is a regular stop for lunch ever since I first ate here. I love their chili dogs! Usually I don’t order chili dogs because places put too much cumin in the chili, but not here! First place I’ve gone where I repeat order the chili dog! The service is really friendly and it’s super affordable!

Great atmosphere. Polite, respectful employee at the register. 3 employees that I saw. I was acknowledged before I made it to the register. There was one man in front of me, but the employee took no time to get to me.
They ended up with a small rush as I arrived, probably 10 or 12 orders, some people got their food to go, some stayed. Nobody seemed to wait more than about 5 minutes or so. I ordered 2 house special dogs, with slaw, and two onion rings and a sweet tea. I got my drink, sat down, scrolled through my phone for a minute and then my food arrived.
The dogs were hot, and tasted great and fulfilling. The bun was a bit toasted and the slaw and chili were great.
The onion rings were fresh, tasted great, not too done, not too light, they were scrumptious.
Overall, for a TINY yet comfortable little “oddball” restaurant, it was really good, really enjoyable, and I will likely be back.

Nice little place serving classic American food with Greek options. Everything was prepared quickly and tasted great. I’ll definitely come back in the future.

Not usually disappointed by Hotdog King, but today’s experience was… Bad… The customer service wasn’t bad, but the food was. This was one of my grandpa and my go-to quick stops before he passed away, and I stop by whenever I’m kinda missing him (it’s one of the few restaurants we went to that’s still open). I have never been disappointed until today. :-(. The gyro was mostly tomato, onion, and tzatziki with a normal amount of feta and meat, with almost no lettuce at all.

We needed a quick fill up on the way to the airport and came across this place. It’s a basic good food restaurant. Nothing fancy, but nothing is missing. Big menu. Excellent hot dogs with just the suggestion of being smoked. Fast service. Bonus points for having Cherry Coke. Good parking. Great location. Recommend.

Best hot dogs in the Asheville area, in my opinion. The fried mushrooms and pickles are as good as any other place I’ve been. The staff is extremely friendly, and the prices seem appropriate. The dining area is the only thing average about the place. I could eat here several times a week.
