The Horse & Jockey first opened its doors in 1987. It was totally rebuilt in 2013 because of fire. It has 16 beers on tap, a full liquor bar and arguably the most impressive Scotch collection in the area. Food includes classic British dishes and Indian curries. Everything is made fresh onsite including our world famous sausages. We show all of the premiership, MLS, la Liga and Bundesliga soccer as well as most other American major league sports. Live music is played once a month and generally features the jazz quartet of John Lamb, Nate Najar, James Suggs and Bryan Hughes
Longtime pub offering English grub & booze, plus football (European & American) on TV in warm digs.

Reviews
The menu items looked great and the review were good but in the end we were disappointed. We had the Scotch Egg and it was pretty much flavourless. We also had the fish spread and it was very good. I don’t have anything to really compare it to but over all it was my favourite. My husband had the fish and chips. The fish was good but the chips were cold. I had the Madras Chicken and the flavour was good but it was just warm and not very attractive. Needless to say, we didn’t try dessert.
Finally, when the waitress took the bill, she returned the paper money but not the coin change. If she had of told me that they didn’t give change, I would have gotten the change for her but she just assumed I would be ok with her keeping my money… I wasn’t. I ended up giving her the change for the bill and got my dollar back. If the food had of been better I may have overlooked that but I thought it was rude. When you go out for a meal, you expect a certain level of quality and this just didn’t meet it. Sadly, I cook these same dishes at home in my home kitchen, and they turn out better. I didn’t want to leave a 2 star rating because the battered fish and the fish spread were good but the overall meal was lacking. We will not be back.
Atmosphere-
Well lit and plenty of room. It’s about as close to a British Pub experience you can have without the plane ticket.
Service-
Friendly staff , who were fast and very attentive.
Food-
From Scotch Eggs, to crispy fish and chips, all of your traditional UK pub fare is on full display. The standout for my meal was the sausage roll and the chicken and mushroom pie.
Wash it all down with a few pints of the “Black Stuff” ( if you know you know) to enhance the experience and listen to the love
music and forget your worries.
