First visit. Had cheese fries as an appetizer and the 14 oz Ribeye with side salad and fries as my meal. Ribeye was extremely bland and did not have hardly any seasoning. Overall I was not impressed with the ribeye, especially for the price. The restaurant in general was great and the service was top notch. Definitely will come back to try the chicken fried steak as it looked delicious.

We stopped to try this place, unsure what to expect honestly. I have pepper allergies and our child is autistic so noise is usually a concern. Our waitress (unsure of her name, dark-haired & beautiful, maybe in her 40’s?) was amazing! She explained the cooking process for my allergy concern and even though she seemed to be the only one there working, our service was exceptional! Our drinks weren’t ever low and food was the best!! We had a 12 ounce KC Strip, chicken tender basket, and ckn fried steak. They offer where you can split meal and for a little extra get one or 2 sides for other person. Worked out perfect!!

When you live in Texas, you aren’t supposed to admit that great chicken-fried steak can be found in another state. Well, I have to admit, I may have found it. The Hoof & Horn Supper Club in the little town of Sedgewick, KS outside of Wichita has a serious contender. I won’t be able to review the other entree items on their menu (though the Rock Mountain Oysters were really good) but if you’re a serious chicken-fried steak aficionado, you’ve got to try Hoof & Horn’s. Our steaks were huge, awesomely crispy and the meat very tender. That’s all you can ask for. The cream gravy was decent and didn’t overwhelm the flavor of the meat and breading.
The restaurant interior is not going to blow you away as it is dark and dated, but then again the ’70’s was a good decade. Everything was clean and that’s what matters. I also have to give a big shout out to Kylie for great wait service along with the whole staff for providing a delightful dinner experience. The Hoof & Horn may not be exactly on a main highway but it’d be worth the small detour for great chicken-fried steak.

Great Atmosphere!! What a cool place in a nice small town. We had the Chicken Fried Steak, and Steak Fingers. Both were top notch, one of the best Chicken Fried steaks I gave had.

First time to visit. Very attentive staff. Good beer selection on tap. Menu has something for everyone. My wife had the chicken fry steak, yes it is huge. Very tender and the white gravy was very good. She also had mash potatoes which had a nice flavor. I had the ribeye which was nicely seasoned and cooked exactly like I ordered it. Also had their Country fried potatoes which were very good. Both meals came with a tossed salad.We will definitely return.

Hunters will love the animal heads on the walls. Chicken fried chicken is the best I’ve ever had. The smallest hand burger is a 1/2 lb ( good meat), Their gizzards and livers are tasty. Salads are great- no complaints from my wife. Worth the drive and they do have beer on tap or mix drinks. It does get busy at different times so plan to avoid and you’ll thank me.

My friends took me here for my birthday week. I had chicken fried chicken and okra and something that look like a Tater Tot but had a project cheese in it and onion rings and my friend had the largest chicken fried steak I have seen. Are waitress was very good. And they have a very good cheesecake.

I didn’t get the opportunity to rate the food because the service was so poor we walked out. Came in about 7:30 on a Saturday night. There was no wait and things were winding down. We sat at the bar for about 10 minutes before being offered drinks. The bar was not full. We had to ask for menus. During this time we made eye contact multiple times with the bar tender and were ignored while she and 3 other wait staff did dishes.

I really enjoyed my visit here! The atmosphere was excellent, and I especially loved all the cool taxidermied animals displayed. It definitely had that outdoorsman vibe to it. The food came out in large portions and was also incredibly delicious. Plus, the pricing was very reasonable, which was a nice bonus.
