Sold out of preferred Thanksgiving side dish even though it was ordered over a month ago and picked up at 2pm. You all can’t do basic math and not hold enough product to cover your orders??? Was told “Sorry, it is a popular dish”. Yeah, that’s why I reserved one in my order…

I want to give a 5 stars. I wasn’t very polite on the phone, and I’m sorry for that. Thank you to the employees here and dealing with the higher traffic during holidays and more stress than usual. You have a great crew of people here. Thank you. -signed forever a loyal customer.

My 1st visit here and it was a very tasty experience at this ‘The Honey Baked Ham Store’ in N.E. Albuquerque (NM). Super nice Staff! Easy to locate. Ample parking available. Trying to cross busy traffic to get to this business may be an issue. Variety of products is surprising for a store this small! All very enticing! Prices are affordable and quality is thumbs-up! (NM) State & local guidelines and mandates for customer-protective coronavirus ‘precautions’ are taken seriously, here. Felt like I was about to tour The White House! Expect a WAIT during lunch hours! Check the info on your receipt to (possibly) get a buy-one get-one (BOGO) offer when you complete a Customer Survey!

Extremely fast, I was able to get ham and turkey just a few days before thanksgiving on the same day I ordered it. Always tastes great, well worth the price.

I got a ham sandwich meal. It was great, and the lady behind the counter was more than happy to guide me through their menu.

We ordered a honey baked ham for Christmas dinner. The store was very accommodating when I put the wrong date for our order and we were still able to change it and pick it up Christmas Eve. They even took the time to show us how to reheat it if we wanted to or we could just leave it out for room temp. The crunchy sweet topping was as I remembered it. Everyone at our table enjoyed it.

I went here to get a ham last minute because Cracker Barrel did not honor its advertised promise to cater through Christmas day and was out of food by the 22nd of December. I live paycheck to paycheck like most people, I tried 3 stores before ending up at this place, which I had never heard of. I’m glad I went. However, the meat itself was excellent. I got the turkey and the ham. It comes smoked so you don’t have to cook it. Technically, you don’t even have to heat it up. You can serve it cold or room temperature because it’s already cooked and it’s cooked very thoroughly. The glaze and the cutting were perfect. It’s the first of January, and I’m still making turkey sandwiches to get through the last of what we have.
The meal I got came with 4 sides. The sides aren’t anything special. They’re good, don’t get me wrong. They’re basically fancy TV dinner casseroles. Picture like Marie Calenders family sized Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, etc, but more fancy and a little smaller. It was enough for everyone at our small get-together to have a nice plate and some leftovers. The meats stole the show for sure.
So it’s great if you want to have some meat and stuff for the holiday, there’s no reason to cook your own ham or turkey when you can buy them already cooked and probably better than you’d make it anyway. Unless you have your own smoker, I’d highly recommend buying the ham and turkey for whatever occasion, but probably skipping on the sides and making your own. The sides are where you have fun cooking anyway, so I think that’ll be a smarter way to do it next time.
I wasn’t too impressed with the service and the kind of employees they have. Some of them looked like they were recruited fresh from the county jail. I’m talking, tattoos on necks. And not even the men. It was the woman at the register! Not exactly screaming “holiday spirit,” but I digress. The service itself wasn’t bad, just mediocre. A lack of eye contact, leaning on the counter, low talking, low energy, that type of thing. It also wasn’t explained to me why the same food I ordered online cost an extra ten dollars when I went to the store to pick it up. To be fair online, there is a warning (after you pay) that says the final price may be different when you show up. I thought, okay, maybe local taxes or whatever. No, it was just ten dollars more expensive. Absolutely no explanation on that, on the receipt or by the staff who didn’t know.
I’d enjoyed the food itself, and that’s what’s really holding up the review. Because I didn’t have to stick around and eat there, I can accept that service and atmosphere aren’t the biggest factors.

Wish i read the reviews before ordering from here … i ordered because I’ve tried the turkey from here a year ago and was excited to get it for Thanksgiving this year. I put an order in well over a week ago and paid for it. I showed up to pick up the turkey and they told me they didn’t have it- not only did they say they didn’t have it they were extremely disrespectful about it. They gave me something else but completely up charged me. Also, i never recieved instructions on warming- i had to go back in for them to give me a card with the instructions. I haven’t tried the food this year but the service alone i won’t be returning.

There was a long line but I only spent 34 minutes total in the line and in store. I will find out Christmas day if their honey baked ham and side dishes are really amazing! Can’t wait!!!

People inside the store was super nice. I’ve never been to this place and was willing to help me out. It’s about the customer service that is given and heater in my business. I even asked if this was his door and he said no he just works here. He was a super fun guy.
