Solon location is awesome. The store manager Tina is exceptionally great! Her service comes with a smile and delightful manner. Professional and courteous always while taking your order and fulfilling it. The restaurant is very clean and spacious. The sandwiches Tina make are delicious. We purchased a 3.715 pound ham on December 22nd. The Solon store new policy will not let you see the ham that you purchase before hand. When we brought it home the ham was burnt on both ends so we took the ham back and the owner named Melanie was not only extremely rude but also would not refund or exchange our purchase. We are now talking to corporate in Georgia to hopefully get this resolved. My recommendation is to go to another Honeybake for your purchases.

I just had the worst experience at the Solon honeybaked ham. I spent quite a bit of time putting in a large order online.
I was supposed to bring sandwiches for a large group and they were counting on me. I arrived at the honeybaked ham store at the correct time to pick up my order. Please note that there were no other customers in the store. There was no order prepared and they hadn’t seen my order until I pointed out that I had placed one. Rather than being apologetic and starting my order right away, they were argumentative and spent all their time making excuses and trying to convince me to order a different way without any condiments on my sandwiches to make it easier on them.
Additionally, the man who was arguing with me, smelled very bad and had long dirty fingernails, which really made me question whether I wanted him making my sandwiches anyway. Infuriated, pleading with them to go into the kitchen and start making my order immediately to no avail, I canceled my order and left with no food.

Ham slices taste horrible and slimy. Turkey has no great taste at all. Dates are in date but probably truly not. Waste of $70. Period.

I arrived at this location today at 2:20pm and left at 2:45pm. There was only 1 other customer in the store besides me. She stated that she had been there for 35 minutes waiting for her order. I ordered a sandwich with broccoli salad and a coke. There appeared to be 3 people working in the store. I’m not sure why it took almost 30 minutes for me to get my meal but this is unacceptable! They forgot to give me my coke and broccoli salad until I asked for it. I’ve been here multiple times in the past and have never waited this long. I hope that today was a fluke, maybe new staff,but they really need to tighten things up. People don’t have time to wait like this for simple orders.

I like to frequent this store because it’s close to home. Everytime I’ve gone there, the man who I believe is the owner or possibly the manager acts as if you’re disturbing him or he just doesn’t want to be there. The other day I stopped by only to find the lights out and doors locked. All signs said they close at 6pm
I called the next day to verify hours and was told they close at 4pm due to lack of staffing. My first thought was if he has the same attitude towards his employees as his customers then I can see why he may be short staffed. Fortunately, the Brecksville location has the best attitude when customers walk in their door and make it known that they are happy to have you. For the price we pay for Honeybaked Ham the least you can do is smile and pretend to be happy you have customers that pay your salary.

Steve owns the Solon store and the Streetsboro store. I have used him for catered lunches for years and he never disappoints me. The food quality is always top notch. He customizes my orders when necessary. Delivery is always prompt. Everyone loves the meats, bread and broccoli salad. And the cookies are delicious. Do not hesitate to visit the Solon location and try their variety of catered lunches. You will be happy.

It is 2:25 pm on a Saturday afternoon. I just left the Solon location and asked for the pre-sliced ham packages. I was advised that there was no pre-sliced packages available right now. The sign on the cooler said that it could me made to order, but no attempt was made by the cashier. This was stated with no intention of advising me if any slices would be made on the current day or ever. This was not the experience that I was anticipating.
