BAD HAM SLICES. Do not buy ham slices here. I was going to make a quiche-not now. I got home, opened the package and the ham had a sulphur smell and it was slightly slimy. I called the store and the manager was very rude. She was raising her voice and says, “well bye” as she hung up the phone. I I don’t even care about the return – I am more concerned about food safety at this point. They waited too long to turn these into sellable ham slices. The ham from which they were cut was probably past its date. You can’t wait until the ham itself is almost spoiled to sell ham slices. PEOPLE WANT FRESH HAM SLICES, NOT SPOILED. I called Honey Baked Ham’s corporate office to complain about their food safety practices.

I prepaid for $75 worth of food. I get home open the sliced ham and it looks deformed, cut up, with no glaze on it at all. It looks worse than any store brought ham I’ve seen. I reached out to customer service and the store and the only way to remedy the situation is to lug out two young kids, drive 30 min each way AGAIN, waste more time and gas to get it replaced. So no good customer service or quality control. Got it. Check your items before leaving store or better yet just save your money.

1. I was on my way into the store to buy a sandwich and my phone rang. Rather than disturbing the other customers, I opted to take my call outside in front of the store. In the middle of my conversation, an employee from the store came outside and said I could not stand in front of their store talking on the phone and made me leave. After my call I left notifying them that any plans to buy something from them was over. In addition, every holiday I spend hundreds of dollars at that store which will be NO MORE.
2. My debit card was charged twice at this location for items I did not purchase from that store or any Honey bake Ham store. My bank cancelled my card and returned the fund.

Visited this location to use Christmas gift cards. I’ve heard great things about Honey Baked Ham & was excited to see what the hype is about. We ordered various sandwiches, a salad & cinnamon apples. Unfortunately the order didn’t come through on their end so they had to make it upon arrival – which was no problem. Because of this I did receive the wrong salad. We live about 30 min from the location and they were closing soon, so I gave them a call to address the issues. Lisa answered and was friendly, professional & apologetic about the entire situation. Offering a quick solution! We agreed that I would call tomorrow to follow up! Based on the sandwiches & Lisa’s demeanor about the entire situation we will return!

My mother walked in just to get a whole ham just she always does during the holidays but today was a little busy and the computers were not functioning so you were asked to pay cash which wasn’t a problem upon her return when she ordered the ham another employee stopped what she was doing to tell the price of the ham which was odd because she already knew the price the employee maybe thought she couldn’t afford it because she said it twice!!!! Yes she got the ham but not after a embarrassing exchange of price shouting which was totally not necessary!!!

I recently purchased a ham from HoneyBaked Ham in Bowie, Maryland, for $75, expecting the high quality this company is known for. Unfortunately, the ham I received was disappointing — it was mostly bone and fat, with very little actual meat. Feeling dissatisfied, I attempted to return the product, only to encounter horrendous customer service.
The manager was extremely rude and dismissive of my concerns. While I was open to a compromise, such as paying for a portion of a better ham, they refused to accommodate me in any meaningful way. A quarter of a ham is simply not worth $75, and the experience left me feeling disrespected and frustrated.
I will not be returning to this location and urge others to think twice before purchasing from them. Quality and service should match the premium price point, but sadly, this was far from my experience.

I stopped in with some friends at the honeybaked ham store in Bowie this past Saturday. They had A special – buy one hambone get one free!! Perfect! It was a nice atmosphere and very clean. Makayla was kind and welcoming, So we decided to stay and eat lunch! It was delicious. Makayla is outstanding in customer service and her sandwich making skills!

Came in for the ham and wow! The energy from the employee was amazing, and the customer service was exceptional. The ham itself was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. Definitely coming back!
