First visit today and big fan already. I was there fairly early and the place was still quiet. Waiter was great—he was friendly and the right level of attentive. The horchatte was shockingly good. I’ve had dirty horchatas before that were fine, but this was absolutely delicious. The brisket bowl was total comfort food: textures between the meat, gnocchi, kale, and crispy sweet potato shavings were so cool. Glad I got the Aeblskivers—soft and delicious.

We had lunch at the Hive Social on a Sunday. There wasn’t a wait and we were seated right away. The food was good, I had the crab Benedict which comes in a bun. The rest of the group had the brisket bowl and waffles. The bowl was really great, I would recommend trying it. The coffee is a very dark roast.

I thought I’d try this place for breakfast this morning. It used to be a super nice dinner house which I liked.
So today at 8:40 am 02/06/26 after dropping my two dogs off at the Lake Oswego Banfield I came in. I walked up to the hostess (who turned out to be my server!) expecting the normal nice greeting but instead got this cold, “What can I do for you?”.
It was hard to believe since this is a super nice looking restaurant and when I was in college I used to work at some of the best West Coast restaurants as a Front/Back waiter: you simply never greet customers in this manner!!
As I sit here and write this I decided I may as well go elsewhere. I’m sure I can get a better experience even at Dennys!
I won’t be back.

I really liked this place. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The staff seemed to like having customers and it was comfortable.
The food and drinks seemed like they were all crafted. In house cola was mixed at the bar, the cappuccino had one of them leafy designs. Bacon was present in quantity in the given recipes.
A lot of food too. I had the boring benny, it was a tough choice but I think I won.
They did have some “fra-gi-le” seasonal decor in the pub area in the back which was cool.
Definitely coming back.
Parking was a bit difficult to find, but only a couple blocks.

First time having dinner at Hive and we absolutely loved it! The food was delicious!!! My husband got the Boring Burger and I had the special Prime Rib French Dip, both were perfect.
Our server, Finn, was great and helped me find a cocktail I would enjoy the most. We had such a wonderful time and truly enjoyed our food and drinks. We’ll definitely be back! Thanks

For folks who have absolutely no dietary restrictions, this place is the bee’s knees… Prior to making lifestyle changes in alignment with my body’s desires, I’d easily give this place 5 stars. The food (quality and alchemy) has always been delicious, creative, and local and service has been pleasant, humble, and personable.
Now that I eat primarily plant-based, gluten- and sugar-free, there are very little, if any options for me to choose from. Many of the breakfast dishes are quite unbalanced, reflecting traditional American breakfasts with large portions of bread (e.g., French toast and waffles) and sugar, and are lacking in substantial protein offerings.
If I could make any recommendations, I would suggest adding more varieties of protein (esp. plant-based options) and offering more balanced meals honoring other types of dietary preferences such as diabetes-friendly, auto-immune friendly, and more. What I would give to see some buckwheat protein pancake, waffles, or gluten free French toast options on the menu!!!
What kind of hive is The Hive, be it lacking in plant-based dishes? Bees thrive on nectar from plants! Let’s honor the bees by balancing the menu with far more plant-based options

Foods were good but they could have told us one of their dishes was out instead of waiting for the foods to come out for a while, then to be told that it’s out, choose something else. And it was 12 pm on a Tuesday, better plan to get more stocks next time.

We were looking for a fun place with a trendy vibe to have a cocktail and The Hive was perfect. We sat in the bar lounge which was quieter than the main dining area. There are several high-backed booths and other tables for seating. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Chloe was our server/bar tender and she was super cheerful. The menu looked excellent, with locally sourced food items. I wished we were hungry, and thought several times about ordering food just to try something. We did try the Feeling Peaching and Embittered Summer cocktails. The peachy is served up and is a bourbon citrus sour drink. The other was my favorite, a smoky mezcal served over 1 large ice cube. Will definitely come back again.

The service team is welcoming, friendly, and most importantly, hospitable. Every staff member I’ve interacted with is passionate and eager and attentive and the culture that the owner Ashley has curated is welcoming and warm!
The hardware store team is polished and the cocktails are 11/10!
This is by far the best dining experience in Oregon City, whether it’s a casual Sunday brunch, romantic dinner date night or an energetic speakeasy kind of night, the team excels!
