Steak was pretty good. I wish it would of had fresh veggies with it. The baked potato was good as well. The prices were surprisingly higher than I was expecting in Lander. Had a couple drinks that were stiff and good.

Our waitress was great, she was friendly and gave the perfect amount of attention to everyone in our party of six. If I could give separate reviews it would be a five star for service. We were looking forward to a pleasant dining experience. However, we were unaware until our arrival that there was to be live “music”. I don’t like to be unkind but the performance was terrible. Even though we asked to be seated in another room, the noise that consisted of inexperienced guitar strumming and a caterwauling sound from the singer, made a very expensive meal, very unpleasant.
The food was not stellar either. The salad bar was very plain, offering nothing you would not get in a simple side salad. Our main course consisted of a small serving of steak and a small side. The presentation was not at all like the pictures on the website. The steak was very good, however.
It wouldn’t take much to make the Hitching Rack a nice place to take guests for a special evening out, but the live “music” needs to go and the food and presentation need improvement. This review is meant to offer constructive criticism not to air my complaint, because I would like to see this business succeed.

We have eaten at The Hitching Rack at least 15 times since they reopened in November. I have never been disappointed! I love that the chef comes up with unique options each week! The Valentine’s meal was delicious and beautiful! The staff have always been very friendly and accommodating. The bartender makes amazing and delicious drinks. Definitely try the steaks, they are to die for, and the cheese curds because they are yummy and the dipping sauce they come with is AWESOME! Our favorite restaurant in Lander!

Served us well, proficient server, excellent food … I had a chicken special and my girls split a filet. Teeny bit pricey but very good value given we were road-weary and looking for a nice meal. Seated us at 8:55 when closing at 9 … thankful and pleased.

Ate there last night and the service was wonderful but we had Filet and Rib I. They were not very good came out cold and the other couple agree we wouldnt want to go back there. Inside it was cold to sit there. They need to get a steak in hudson to see what a real steak should be.

This has rapidly become our favorite place in town, hands down! Our food has been amazing each time we have been in, from seafood through the enchiladas we have been incredibly happy! The staff are friendly, the kitchen pumps out rocking food, and the atmosphere overall is welcoming and warm. We are thankful to have it so close to where we live!

Waiter overcharge on chicken special $22 menu price and charged $33, same price as steak. Told him but he overcharge anyway. Collected huge tip for himself this evening. Plan to eat somewhere else. Really, really, really slow getting food. Arrived at 5:00, it was almost 7:00 when leaving. Bad, bad, really bad experience!!!

Meagan was amazing!! While we hung out for a few drinks, from seating to being done eating was 45 minutes or slightly less. Meagan was attentive and on the spot with everything!! We will return for sure!!
