Dinner with work colleagues. Burgers are build your own so you need to know what you like. Locals say it’s best in green river for burgers. We had a couple of appetizers and several different dishes. Everyone was satisfied with their meal. I would eat here again.

I love this place! I don’t get to come to Green River very often, but every time I do, I always come to the Hitching Post Saloon. The beef stroganoff is awesome!! I loved the Ruben soup too, the great beer selection, and the impressive salad bar. The service is excellent and so friendly! Until Next time 🙂

Super great atmosphere! It’s next to a train yard and it was awesome watching trains link together (far enough away it wasn’t loud). Kids love trains and LOVED this restaurant. Plus the food was very yummy! Service was great. They even cleaned a table off so we could sit next to the windows and watch the trains. Best place to eat in the area!

While traveling we took a chance on eating at the Hitching Post and we were glad we did. The chicken Alfredo was very good. Chicken was tender, fresh Parmesan on top, and a generous portion. Garlic toast was also good. The meal came with one trip to the soup and salad bar which had a nice selection of choices. The price was reasonable. If ever in the area again, we’d definitely go back.

Solo traveler here: SO GOOD! I bought the quesadilla bites because it comes with a blackberry dipping sauce, so I just had to try it. Odd but delicious! I had the special of the day; ribs with the fixin’s. The baked beans were the best I’ve had. The whole meal and service was wonderful!!

We come to the Hitching Post for breakfast as the service and food is better than it has been in the evening.
This time in, we ordered the loaded biscuits and gravy with extra crispy hashbrowns, and the eggs Benedict with extra crispy hashbowns. We’ve always loved the deep-fried hashbrowns, but today, they wouldn’t do it, not sure why. The food was still great, and I would highly recommend. The smothered burrito is a must, too, if you’ve never had it. 🙂

I put 4 stars because of the service. Great service Mikey she was very accommodating and friendly. Jean is a great manager she did all posible to help us with our orders. Stroganoff was super sour we didn’t eat them just taste them. It tasted like vinaigrette it came with soup and salad which save our breakfast.. I order omelette we share the plate because it took us some time to resolve our issue: restaurant is clean and we enjoy the atmosphere.

Large roomy place. Great, attentive service! Entrees come with soup & salad bar. We both got clam chowder and it was pretty good. The salad bar had lots of choices!
I had Chicken Parmesan. The chicken was good and was already sliced—which is great. My husband had Beef Stroganoff. He said it was good, although there was no sour cream taste to it at all, and that’s what makes it stroganoff. It looks like a muddy mess on the plate—ha! But don’t let that discourage you from ordering it.
