Very impressed that he cared and my waitress, Carmen, shared this with management. Very impressed he didn’t “blow-it-off” like most placed would and took 10 minutes out of a busy schedule to really hear me out. Great customer experience, will continue to be back.
If fact, we won’t be due to the one time where I actually said something about the pizza basically cheese on a cracker, I was told “well maybe your version of extra sauce is different than ours.” My response was, “the amount of sauce on there wasn’t even a normal amount.”
Apparently the cook left before the kitchen was scheduled to close so someone was supposed to call back the next day. No one called back to try and fix the issue. So we definitely won’t be back. I hate wasting money, especially $30 on one pizza. At least Home Run Inn frozen pizza is consistent and amazing.
I work in food service and have lead multi-unit franchises doing over $5MM per year so I hate leaving bad reviews but I hope they get it together and have continued success. Honor people’s hard earned dollars and time by being better, consistent, and taking ownership over issues.
Had the battered onion wings and Bourbon chicken wings. The rings came out quite early, ate before wings arrived. But good. Wings were excellent, the bourbon sauce was sweet with a little heat on the backend. Pretty good!!
Again, excellent service, Thank You!!
My experience at Scotty’s today crossed the line from poor service into outright unethical behavior.
After an issue arose with my order, staff refused to give me my food and refused to issue any refund or resolution. Instead, I was threatened that they would process payment through their own merchant account and take my money without providing the food — entirely at my expense.
I was repeatedly told this was “because of Uber” and that I needed to contact Uber myself, despite the fact that Uber does not have a customer service phone line for customers — only online chat — while merchants do have a direct number they can call. Scotty’s chose not to do that and instead placed the full burden on me.
What was especially disturbing was being told — directly — that this was “my lesson to learn,” and that because the owner is “stuck in a contract with Uber” that allegedly earned them $10,000, they were entitled to keep my $40 this holiday season. That was said to me as justification for taking my money while refusing to give me my order.
By 3 p.m., the environment was already hostile and unprofessional, with profanity being used openly by bar patrons, myself (yes, I know what accountability is) included out of frustration, and by the waitstaff. Rather than de-escalating, staff escalated the situation with threats, dismissive language, and refusal to help.
Uber issues are not a license to extort customers, withhold food, or threaten to charge people for nothing. Milwaukee has countless bars that understand basic hospitality, ethics, and accountability. Scotty’s demonstrated none of those today.
I will never return, and I strongly encourage others to avoid this establishment if they value being treated fairly and honestly. We should support businesses that act ethically, and chances can be given if they want them. The owner was pompous and arrogant. Clearly someone under the thumb of a company that has him by his nutsack.
