Very clean, bright and cheerful. Owner met us at the door to welcome us. Small, hometown restaurant where literally everyone knew everyone else, except us. We were driving around exploring and saw this place. We decided to take a chance and were very glad we did. Food was delicious and large portions. Breakfast served all day! Parking is tight but enough.

The cutest little diner. I had an excellent meal of the roast beef and mashed potatoes. We also ordered a cinnamon roll to go. Very good comfort food! The sweetest lady is at the cashier stand and she will check you out. The prices are VERY reasonable as well.

Spotlessly clean, nicely update atmosphere. Friendly service, fantastic hot breakfast and fresh baked goodies. Small but you dont feel like sardines.

Small and personal, all home cooked and made to order. Decent menu selections with daily specials. Favorably priced and affordable, table service is topshelf. We have been there several times and always satisfied and pleased. Being out of town we make sure to stop in and have either lunch or dinner there. Recommended.

Great service! The coffee was hot, and that’s great! I enjoyed the fried mush. A nice slice of ham and two big sausage patties. A great breakfast!

The service was great; the food: VERY mediocre. I ordered the “haystack”. The gravy tasted like it came out of a institutional 1-gallon food can. The dish came spinkled with hard, dessicated bacon bits that didn’t add anything appetizing. The biscuits had an odd texture. Every single ingredient on the plate seemed sourced from the cheapest supplier possible. You might have better luck with whatever special is on the board rather than their standard menu items. My rating is based on one recent visit (Jan. 2026) for breakfast. I see no reason to go back.

If you’re looking for a quaint little restaurant in a small town, this is it. We had the haystack and biscuits and gravy. Food was outstanding and the service was friendly. The restaurant is clean and on the smaller side.
A bit of history, the popular restaurant used to be on the top of a hill on the other side of Middlebury. Sadly, it burned down some years back. So it has been reestablished at the bottom of the hill downtown Middlebury.

Nice little place for breakfast with friends. The food is reasonably priced and there is plenty of it. My food was good but nothing made it stand out better than other. Staff was nice, attentive and helpful. Definitely plan to be back there in a couple of weeks.

We had the cod. It was fantastic. I also had potato salad. The peach pie was okay. The filing was really thick. But the cinnamon rolls looked delicious. We absolutely will return!

Food was actually very good .. the pancakes were actually probably some of the best pancakes i ever had! And There was a wait and thats ok , what really killed it for me probably coming back was the service… the one who one who checked us in was pretty sweet but the server almost seemed annoyed she had to serve us … what we found weird is she was very nice to everyone else she was serving except us …same with the lady who charged our bill . It was just my wife and kid and we were very low maintenance customers if anything..we just didnt understand why the short responses to everything and attitude . No have a nice day everything was kept short and breif with us . We felt unwelcome. Otherwise the place is clean and food is very good
