Worth the hype! We spend a lot of time in Portland as my parents live here and this place is worth it. We didn’t go for a long time as we assumed it was a tourist trap but we were so wrong. The atmosphere is really inviting they have options outside and inside. Really fun drink options and delicious mixed drinks. All of the lobster is incredible, the lobster pop is a must try!! Lobster Mac n cheese and flights are also a favorite. It is a little pricey but worth what you spend!

This was a fun little place. We thankfully got seated in the back where it was a little quieter. The servers were great and our food came out quickly, however, you’re not attended to the whole time. We thought the food was pretty good! Yes it’s pricey but we understand it’s fresh lobster. All of it was tasty.

Stopped in to get a lobster roll and try some oysters for the first time. Whole experience was great. I sat at the bar and the bartender was really nice, she helped me pick stuff out and explained a lot about the oysters. The food was really good and the Needham Imperial Milk Stout was one of the best coconut stouts I’ve ever had

Suggested by our tour driver Steve – The Highroller Lobster House is such a fun and memorable stop in Portland! The red-and-white retro diner vibe makes it feel playful and unique, and the food is outstanding. I had the lobster roll with mac & cheese, and it was by far the best lobster roll of the three I’ve tried on this trip—fresh, perfectly portioned lobster on a golden brioche roll. Rene loved her hot dog with mac & cheese, and Kathy really enjoyed the fish and chips. Service was quick, the atmosphere was upbeat, and everything tasted fantastic. A must-visit if you’re looking for a modern twist on a Maine classic! We did have about a 15 min wait for a table but worth the wait!

I stopped here for lunch on my last day in Maine and it was SO GOOD! I got there right at lunch time so I expected to wait, but since it was a Monday, raining, and mid November I was able to grab a seat at the bar immediately. I had a lobster roll with lime mayo and sweet potato fries. The roll was delish! Lots of meat, the bread was soft and yummy, and the citrus taste on the Mayo was good. The sweet potato fries were very yummy and fried perfectly and the curry ketchup was a nice surprise.

The menu had a ton of other great non-lobster options, and I wish I’d gone there more than once to try a few different things. I’ll have to visit again next time I’m in town!

Not only was this place eye catching bc of the Christmas lights (super plus), the menu is so refreshing. To be in a north east seafood spot that’s on point with the branding, execution, the twists and the experience is such a delight. Highly recommend coming here, staff is super cool, friendly and having fun (I heard them cheering in the kitchen). The lime mayo was the perfect twist for a super fresh lobster and optimal toasted slightly sweet bun. The hottie toddy was perfect as well. Also extra brownie points on music, they played awesome old school reggae, two door cinema and sublime. BBL for sure, until then I’ll be content rocking their adorable merch.

A local friend recommended our group try Hoghroller Lobster Co. and said they have the best lobster rolls in Portland. She was right! The food was fresh and delicious, the staff were welcoming, helpful, and friendly.
Our group had lobster rolls, a BLT with lobster, fish and chips, and the Old Bay seasoned fries. The sauce selection is varied, and there was something for everyone. I will definitely be making another visit!

Pleasantly surprised they had a few vegetarian options one being the plant based corn dog which was amazing as well as everything else you see in the photo lobster roll was delicious but the ghee butter wasn’t for me and the fries were great and all the little sauces they had a must place to try! Stop in for happy hour and grab a few oysters and a cheap beer they was great too!

I definitely recommend giving this place a try. The lobster roll sampler was so good with 3 different rolls, the lobster grilled cheese was perfect and simple fries were a great pairing. The beers there were affordable and if you want to try something local the oxbow cherry wheat wine is a go too

Located in busy/trendy downtown Portland a few short blocks in from Commercial Street.

Opened late until 10pm daily.

There are both indoor and outdoor dine-in areas. I visited on a Sunday night and it didn’t seem too crowded…no one was waiting for tables from what I saw.

There is a separate area for take-out. That area also has the merch store with hats, t-shirts, bags and other HighRoller-braded items for sale.

We got the lobster roll flight ($47) with drawn butter, lime mayo and charred pineapple varieties. There are a bunch of other sauces/flavors to choose from. They also have a bunch of other items including fish and chips, hot dogs and sandwiches. Prices are also pretty comparable to most other similar places in the area.

The lobster rolls were very good…each mini-roll in the flight was packed with fresh lobster.

The wait was a bit longer than expected given the single-item order…about 30 minutes…but other than that it was a good experience.

All staff there were great…helpful and friendly.

The vibe, décor and environment were awesome….a great space for everyone. I noticed a wide range of guests…young, old, families, locals…always a good sign.
